Publisher's Summary

It's whale-watching season in Redwood Cove, and B and B manager Kelly Jackson's battening down the hatches for the tourist rush at Redwood Heights - a Victorian-style estate owned by her boss. And due to recent jewelry thefts, her duties include keeping track of the many dust-covered artifacts spread throughout the property.

But when Kelly finds Sylvia Porter's lifeless body, menial tasks don't seem so terrible. Enlisting the help of a ragtag group of brainy retirees, aka the "Silver Sentinels", Kelly's on the hunt for clues hidden behind the mansion's glamorous façade...and for a killer who may want to make history of her next!

Great read!

cozy-mystery, amateur-sleuth, animals, law-enforcement, seniors

A new job, good friends, an abrasive colleague, an apparent prevaricator who winds up dead, and thievery make up the basics for this really interesting cozy set in Redwood country. Each of the characters is interesting and engaging whether positive or negative. I enjoyed it immensely!
Reba Burr did a fine job as narrator.

Intelligent interesting. Fun characters

Fun twists. Enjoy the characters. The author does a great job with character formation. The narrator is excellent. can always tell who the characters are and has a pleasant voice that goes with the main character. I do not care for romance novels. This has some romance in the background, it's not sappy or only reason for the story. G rated.

Disappointed

I gave this series a second chance and I was disappointed again. The characters are a bit yo pollyanna for me. The story and characters are flat and I list interest.

Great Cozy Mystery--4/5--The B&B I want to visit!

Redwood Cove's B&B manager, Kelly Jackson’s boss wants help with another property that is close by. Kelly (MC) is in the middle of things soon on. Murder, attacks, thieving, just gets the ball rolling, and that's when the “Silver Sentinels,” are off on another case of sleuthing.

Great story--Great narration--need more

Well worth the credit
Be warned--it is an addicting series (you will want more)

The best so far!

This book was the best in spite of the narrator’s voice, which is fine when she’s speaking just the main character. But with almost all of the other characters, they sound like they’re holding their noses. The story was full of suspense, friendship, kids, almost romance, humor, Respect, history, mystery. C
