Story
When a child goes missing the amount of resources that authorities use is substantial. Abduction cases are taken very seriously by all of the parties involved. None more so than by Chase Grant, a detective in Seattle's 18th precinct. The clock starts the moment he gets the call from a parent, and the first 12 hours are crucial. Every move counts, and every choice matters. If he missteps, then a child might not come home. But today was different.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Female Detective dealing with Sexist Co-workers
Starts Very Slow, does pickup, but perty much usual abused child out for revenge story. Writer goes on and on with going over the past. Ends in Cliffhanger (which I personally Hate, way to force customers into buying next book even if they do not really want to). Narrator does a good job on the voices and storyline though.
