The courage and gallantry is just amazing. You feel like you are in the trenches with them
Despite a slow start, while setting up the character back stories, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. So much so that I have purchased the other 3 books by the same author.

just one of the best British military fiction stories I have read in a long time .
Yet again the third book lives up to the standard of the other two. Each book is a stand alone story so can be listened too in any order, the story’s are superb. As before, the characterisations are wonderful; with you growing attached to them as the story flows.
A great book that will have you extending the sleep timer at least once.
As an ex Para I probably shouldn’t have listened to this book is ok but picked far to many holes in it.
The heros of this story display bravery, humour and humanity. The sustained action of the story never flags.
Unputdownable.A ripping yarn with no stopping for breath from prologue to epilogue. loved it. Not for the faint of heart!
loved it one of my favorite books enjoyed the narrator bought it to life
Outstanding read and a great listen to story. John Telfer brings Mike Lunnon - Woods book to your brain in a real life drama. If you like a degree of truth and fabulous descriptive text. If you like a battle royal and strong sentiments.... Listen or Read on. Beware though you might think you are in the battle.
A modern Rorkes Drift for the British Armed Forces -a fantastic story of courage and bravery.
