Publisher's Summary

A vigilante is stalking the streets of Kansas City administering his own brand of justice when the justice system fails.

Criminals are being executed right under the noses of the police department.

In Lady Justice and the Vigilante, a new recruit to the City Retiree Action Patrol steps up to help Walt and Ox bring to an end his reign of terror.

But not everyone wants the vigilante stopped. His bold reprisals against the criminal element of Kansas City have inspired the average citizen to take up arms and defend themselves.

As the body count mounts, public opinion is split - is it justice or is it murder?

A moral dilemma that will leave you laughing and weeping.

Lady Justice

What made the experience of listening to Lady Justice and the Vigilante the most enjoyable?

This is a great audiobook and just as good as the other Lady Justice books. This was the 7th book in the series. It is a fast paced mystery/comedy with lots of twists and turns. Walt and his group are amazing and funny. So far I am enjoying this series.

Good book that left me wanting more

I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the performance. I would of liked to have a sequel to this book but I don't think the ending allowed for that outcome. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a book that has good characters and is light reading.

Timely yet very funny!

mystery, vigilantism, humor, law enforcement, criminal injustice system

The good, the bad,and the irate. A very timely mystery which addresses the dissatisfaction of some with the criminal justice system and the need to protect the rights of all citizens, even the unrepentant guilty. As always, there is enough comic relief and reminders of the humanity of law enforcement, lawyers and judges, and members of the general public. Warning: This book will make you think! I really enjoyed it! The interjection of Ox's change in personal life is great fun.
George Kuch continues to be the perfect match for Walt and the gang.

Another Winner!

Again this author covered a thought provoking yet controversial topic of vigilantism. Sometimes it seems the system works against the victims. This book provided another perspective.

Book #7

Book #7 in the Lady Justice series and they just keep getting better. They are always fun with a little moral teaching and a lot of humor. Great series and I have enjoyed listening to them on Audible. George Kuch does a great job with the narration too. This was a gift with the understanding I would leave an honest review.

Something Different but just as entertaining.

What did you love best about Lady Justice and the Vigilante?

That it was a different story than all the rest. Almost a continuation of Dr. Death were you are left questioning your beliefs. Robert Thornhill is really smart in keeping a series like this alive with new and fresh ideas.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love them all but this time around I enjoyed Mary the most. Not only has she saved Walt in the past and vice versa but this time her story had me engaged, worried and in the edge of my chair.

What about George Kuch’s performance did you like?

Is there anymore than can be said about the great George Kuch that hasn't been said? Pure briliiance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moral dilemma one finds themselves with throughout the story. There is a great antihero origin here.

Any additional comments?

This was by far one of my favorite in the series. The way that Mr. Thornhill is able to breathe life into the series in order to keep it fresh and still maintain his quality of humor, suspense, excitement is far above the rest. I was beginning to get worried that Walt would get kidnapped again, or face the same problems again but Robert keeps coming up with new ways to move the story along. Brilliant work. I have never been as hooked to a series as I am to Lady Justice. Is Someone Else Helping Lady Justice

Once again Walt, Ox and their assortment of senior friends are caught up in one of the moral dilemmas of the day. Someone is taking up the mission of righting the wrong that the legal loopholes have let happen. Walt and Ox become part of the task force hunting down the Vigilante. As always Lady Justice brings suspense, mystery, and humor to the subject. And, as always, Walt’s friend help add their own twists to the story.
The lady Justice books are always a great read and well worth the time spent.

Exceptional story and narration full of fun/drama

Where does Lady Justice and the Vigilante rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love this author and this series. I have listened to many and enjoyed them all to the extreme. Senior humor and crazy antics as well as characters bring me back over and over. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

You'll never guess what happens!

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. Wow! I was totally surprised by the ending of this book! Once again, I couldn't put it down and listened to it all in one sitting. The only bad thing about this book was the fact that it ended and I have to wait for the next audiobook. I know I could read the books, but after hearing George Kuch bring Walt and the gang to life, I just can't bring myself to go back to reading the books. The audiobooks are just so much of a treat to experience.

The best yet in the series!!!

This is one truly talented author whenever I read his books I find myself totally engaged in the criminal aspect, but then in the very next breath I am actually laughing out loud. Every time he mentions going to Mel's diner or car 54 I find myself smiling. Then in the next breath

I am totally engaged in the investigation. I definitely recommend starting at the beginning of the series but if you choose to read this book without doing so it can be read almost as a stand-alone novel. I was voluntarily provided a review copy of this book by the author publisher or narrator

"like cobwebs which catch small flies..."

Any additional comments?

This is the seventh stand alone story in this fabulous Lady Justice series which combines humour, great larger than life but oh-so-real characters, terrific writing and life observations within often hard hitting mystery stories. This time the elderly cop and his colleagues in Kansas City are searching for a killer determined to put right the failure to convict brutal perpetrators of horrible crimes. But life also goes on for Walt, Maggie and the rest of the residents and even police partner, Ox, manages to get a date with Judy, the lady he admires, despite his tongue tied approach. Plus there are the Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations ... But not everything goes well.

As always, George Kuch is Walt Williams as he relates all that happens and tells tales about his fabulous friends. Kuch is pace perfect with the anecdotes and reminiscences of the 67 years old cop, his voice full of compassion and fun, contemplative or steady as he tells all from Walt's point of view.Brilliant book made even better by the narration. Something for everyone and highly recommended.

Interesting

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book was so good. I love this series. Thornhill always chooses such interesting topics to write about and vigilantes are undoubtedly interesting. Walt was, as usual amazing.
