Story
Judith Potts is 77 years old and blissfully happy. She lives on her own in a faded mansion just outside Marlow, there’s no man in her life to tell her what to do or how much whisky to drink, and to keep herself busy she sets crosswords for The Times newspaper. One evening, while out swimming in the Thames, Judith witnesses a brutal murder. The local police don’t believe her story, so she decides to investigate for herself and is soon joined in her quest by Suzie, a salt-of-the-earth dog-walker, and Becks, the prim and proper wife of the local vicar.

Publisher's summary
How old is too old to dream? Walt Williams always dreamed of being a hero. When retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be, Walt decides it's the perfect time to achieve his dream and give Lady Justice a helping hand. So he decides to become a cop! Follow Walt as he leaves the real-estate world and retirement to solve crime and bring perps to justice. It's a bumpy but often hilarious ride. Walt and Ox, his partner in the Kansas City police department, find very unorthodox ways of bringing criminals to justice. After all, Walt has to rely on his ability to outsmart the bad guys. And they have plenty of help from others in the senior set. In this action packed, laugh-out-loud tale, Walt and his band of scrappy seniors are faced with the terrifying challenge of taking out the Realtor Rapist and the huge job of bringing down the Russian mob. It's a job only the City Retiree Action Patrol can do, and they provide plenty of laughs along the way. I guarantee, after listening to Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P., you will come away with a new light-hearted perspective and respect for the triumphs and challenges of the senior set. In fact, you may even be prompted to ask your grandpa what he's been up to lately!

Crap is right.
This is so awful I wish I could give it a negative number. There is no stereotype, no prejudice, and no trite saying that is not here. It reads as if written by a 16-year old bigot obsessed with his "member". If he is trying to be funny, he fails on every level. I not only wish I could get my money back, I should get a refund for every second wasted on this tripe.

Love Kansas City!
Where does Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P. rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I like the plot a lot!
This book and this series takes place in Kansas City Mo. I like the accurate references to the city, since I am a lifelong resident. Refreshing content of a retired realtor who becomes a cop. Just when things are most serious, you may bust out laughing. Just the right mix of comedy!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Always fast moving and interesting
Which character – as performed by George Kuch – was your favorite?
Walter Williams, the main character is going to lead you through life as a cop.

Enjoyable story with a fresh idea
I enjoyed listening to this story. The narrator did a good job of fitting himself to the character. The story, about a task force of older retired people solving crimes was a clever idea. The antics of the crimes were entertaining, a fresh idea. I would listen again.

Hooray for seniors
Would you listen to Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P. again? Why?
Oh yeah! For the laughs Walt elicits in many and varied situations this book can't be beat. Situation after punny situation all I could do was smirk to myself, smile or laugh right out. Though the book touches on serious topics it keeps its humor throughout. Walt goes from 60+ to hero again and again. This book gives a testament to it ain't over til it's over. I highly recommend this book to everyone. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review

Such a refreshing cop book
I throughly enjoyed listening to this book. I was laughing out loud throughout it and suggested my husband add it to his to be listened to books. I can see him burning through the whole series. The humor was fantastic, it was mostly oldie but moldy jokes but still funny. The storyline was good, the story not plausible but so well written you do not get hung up in the fact that they are not going to have a 65 year old new recruit on the police force, it fits and it works. The plot of the murders works well as well. Definitely a series I will look to when I need something different to listen to.

the world we grew up in, where a joke was a joke and women very likely were broads. The time flies while listening to the story go deeper and deeper. Walt has such great luck, I want him to buy me a Powerball ticket.

Senior Citizen Lit. (like Chick Lit but different)
Would you consider the audio edition of Lady Justice Takes a C.R.A.P. to be better than the print version?
Yes, because you have George Kuch's excellent performance skills bringing the characters to life. Plus you can listen while doing household chores or driving. What could be better?
What did you like best about this story?
It was cute. This book does not take itself too seriously. Many of the characters are drawn from stereotypes, and it is not politically correct. If that offends you, this is not the right book for you. In the same way that chick lit. deals with women's daily struggles and brings to life their fantasies, this book contains the daily struggles and idealistic fantasies of the over 60 crowd. How else do you describe a senior citizen becoming a cop and taking down drug dealers, serial killers, and counterfeiters with his posse of elderly friends? The material naturally lends itself to situational humor.
Have you listened to any of George Kuch’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, but he does a good job of bringing the characters to life and switching between characters. He does women voices.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
This is a funny book. It is mostly situational comedy and contains a lot of corny puns. It is entertaining and made me laugh.
Any additional comments?

This just goes to prove oldies kick butt
This is the first book by this author that I have read or listened to but it won't be the last, as I enjoyed. I loved the whole idea of retirees solving crimes, taking names and kicking butts. It did go into a lot of detail about things that you didn't need to know to solve the cases but it did give you an idea of what it is like to be old. The book was made of lots of different case (or problems) that needed to be solved, in inventive or funny ways and I liked the way the main character didn't always know what to do but did know someone that could help.
Walter is fired from his old job of selling houses and feeling to young to play bingo and not liking golf, he decides to revent himself. After witnessing a mugging on an old lady and feeling helpless that he couldn't help her he uses his contacts to become a police officer. From there Walter must solve cases and prove he is fit enough to be called a policeman and he does just that with the help of some geriatric friends with questionable backgrounds. Together them form C.R.A.P
I liked the narrator and think he is perfect as the part of Walter and his friends.
