It was inescapably chilling, as if the murderer was methodically working his way down a page torn from the phone book. The three victims brutally killed in their own homes had one thing in common: They were all listed as M. Douglas. The quilts she makes are for cats as smart, special, and sweet as her own, and business is thriving. But when she returns from an overnight quilting show, she discovers Chablis sneezing - and since Chablis is allergic to humans, that can only mean one thing: Someone has broken into her house. When she realizes her Abyssinian, Syrah, is missing, Jillian suspects catnapping. Spurred by Chablis and Merlot’s mournful meowing, she investigates - and discovers more missing cats and a murder.

Knitting Bones
Third book in this series and I like author very much. Liked reader Melissa Hughes better. Connie Crawford doesn't have enough difference in her characters, can't tell who's talking.

Narrative
The narrative in the first few books was better - but she needed to pronounce names of towns correctly. This one is like one person - doesn’t differentiate individuals very well

Like the series, not this narrator
I have enjoyed this series. I love that ii is available in Audible Plus. The narrator has changed and I just didn't care for her. The story is a pretty typical cozy mystery except that this time Godwin is more of a detective than Betsy.

ok...but didn't enjoy this story as much
Well written and well performed, but just personal preference...I didn't enjoy so much time spent in a sojourn into the drug addled and entitled mind of the villain. I also much prefer the original sleuth keeping her role. I wouldn't recommend this book to a friend, though I have enjoyed every one of the books in this series up to now, very much..
