Detective Alex Cross is one of the first on the scene of the biggest case he’s ever been part of. The President’s son and daughter have been abducted from their school – an impossible crime, but somehow the kidnapper has done it. Alex does everything he can but is shunted to the fringes of the investigation. Someone powerful doesn’t want Cross too close.
A deadly contagion in the DC water supply threatens to cripple the capital, and Alex sees the looming shape of the most devastating attack the United States has ever experienced. He is already working flat-out on the abduction, and this massive assault pushes Cross completely over the edge.
With each hour that passes, the chance of finding the children alive diminishes. In an emotional private meeting, the First Lady asks Alex to please save her kids. But even the highest security clearance doesn’t get him any closer to the kidnapper – and Alex makes a desperate decision that goes against everything he believes in.
A full-throttle thriller with unstoppable action, unrestrained emotion, and relentless suspense, Kill Alex Cross is the most gripping Alex Cross novel James Patterson has ever written.
This book is hard to put down. It engages the reader from start to finish. A polished production and narration that I found very appealing have induced me to immediately start my next Alex Cross adventure.

I didn't enjoy this as much as some of the others. It got a bit bogged down in technology and periferal stuff to the detriment and neglect of the personalities involved. James, lets get back to Alex, his wife and his life within the plot and a bit more involvement and empathy with the victims would have made for a more interesting read/listen.
A fantastic book in the series,i have read all previous 17 books and i think this is another great read the auther has really bought together modern day terrorist issues into the book gripping at times and great characters and a fantastic narator reading the book definatly a 10 out of 10 book and would highly reccomend it cant wait for the the next read.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Found it hard to follow the characters as voice made them hard to distinguish between them at times so I seemed to get lost. Story was ok but not the performance which spoilt it for me.
I enjoyed this book. In my opinion the sound effects were not necessary and didn't really add anything to the whole experience.
I thought the narrative was great, another amazing book by JP. highly recommend to purchase
