Great read

This is the best Blackstock book yet. Very suspenseful. Anyone with a child with a drug problem should listen to this book.

Anointed

Hi Terry, what an awesome book! And what an awesome God we serve!!! God set me free from my addiction, though nothing as serious as hard drugs or alcohol, and I'm definitely going to have to buy the physical book of this for my sister, whose son is nearly finish d his two years of the only drug rehabilitation centre that worked for him - it is run by Christians and on Christian principles - only Jesus truly sets you free! Awesome book and good narrator-ship, thank you, am looking forward to starting on Vicious Circle, God bless you

Couldn't stop listening!

Good suspense. Thoughtful, moving & inspirational. Didn't feel "preachy".to me. It was clean though, no bad language. Just bought the rest of the series.

Good Listen if you do/don't have Faith/Religion

This was my first Terri Blackstock listen (or read) and it was a pleasant surprise. I'm used to listening to books that have more details than I would like and usually think the point can be made without quite so much detail. I appreciated the faith the mother had throughout her situation, and that the book had a realistic part at the end where the children understand mom has a lot of faith but they don't suddenly fall at the alter in repentance.

This is a good listen for someone who likes suspense or drama but doesn't want the gory scenes or details. The religion factor is not overplayed like they're trying to hit you over the head with it. I'm planning on listening to the other two books in this series, and possibly others by this author.

Could not stop listening!

What made the experience of listening to Intervention the most enjoyable?

Great story and performance. Christian mystery at it's finest.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was alway gaining speed and depth.

What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?

There was not anything I did not like.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! If I had the time.

Christian fiction should be labeled as such

What did you like best about Intervention? What did you like least?

While this is a basically pretty good story, the hard-sell Christianity increased as the story progressed. Buyer beware.

Preachy and Predictable

What disappointed you about Intervention?

The book was used as a format to sell Christianity. It was very simplistic and used every opportunity to sell Christianity.

Has Intervention turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes

Would you be willing to try another one of Cassandra Campbell’s performances?

No

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No... even the story was simplistic and not very believable. The main character, the mother, was a saintly saved woman. Not very realistic or interesting.

not one of her best.

it took me some time to get into. and when I did I'd lose interest right away. it had its moments but I just couldn't lose myself into it like many of her other books.
