Now a Lifetime Original Movie!| USA TODAY Bestseller | ECPA Bestseller | Over 500,000 copies of the If I Run Series sold!

From New York Times bestselling author Terri Blackstock comes the first gripping novel in her If I Run series featuring a strong female protagonist wrongly framed for murder and the troubled investigator who's trying to find her.

Casey Cox knows the truth. But it won't set her free. Her DNA is all over the crime scene. There's no use talking to police; they've failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she's arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn't matter anymore.

But what is the truth? That's the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren't adding up.

Casey Cox doesn't fit the profile of a killer. But are Dylan's skewed perceptions keeping him from being objective? If she isn't guilty, why did she run?

Unraveling her past and the evidence that condemns her will take more time than he has, but as Dylan's damaged soul intersects with hers, he is faced with two choices: the girl who occupies his every thought is a psychopathic killer . . . or a selfless hero. And the truth could be the deadliest weapon yet.

In the If I Run series, Terri Blackstock delivers edge-of-your-seat tension to keep the pages turning, relatable characters, dual perspectives, an intriguing plot with unexpected twists, and themes of faith and redemption. Run--don't walk--to start reading this captivating story today.

Any additional comments?

As usual, Terry Blackstock has written a winner. I have very mixed feelings about the narrator, however. She has a lovely voice, so that wasn't the problem. My issue was with her narration of the male dialogues. She didn't change her voice at all. If I left the book during the main guy's story, it was confusing when I got back to it. It always took me a minute to realize it was his story, because the voice was the same as the female character's voice. It was just weird.

Great story, confusing narration

Loved it! Especially towards the end. Next please one please! Can't wait to listen to the conclusion with this cliff hanger.

The winner here is the story which has some great twists and turns.

The narration is adequate. It'll do. The story is written in 1st person switching between Casey and Dylan's points of view (POV). When the story first started I thought Casey was a middle-aged woman...turns out she's 25! What?!? Additionally, there is no voice differential between Casey and Dylan. So Dylan, a 30yr old MALE war veteran suffering from PTSD sounds like a mature woman, too. It makes it hard to listen to the story b/c you are having to question "what character is this?" "Whose POV is this?" Do not stop in the middle of the chapter b/c when you come back to it, you will not know what character this is and where you are in the story. They need a male and female narrator.

Good story... narration- It'll do

Wow! What an exciting book. It was slow for me to get into because I could not picture the events as they were unraveling. Then, I got so wrapped up into it, I thought of little else until I could finish it.
