Publisher's Summary

The plane crash nearly ended Lynda’s life. Was it an accident or sabotage? Lynda Barrett, a young lawyer, hates to sell her plane, but she can no longer afford to keep it. Enter Jake Stevens: wealthy, arrogant, and interested in buying Lynda’s beloved Piper. One thing becomes clear: Someone is out to get Lynda - someone who will not be satisfied until she is dead.

REFRESHING

With a great story line it is wonderful to find the absence of foul language and a positive attitude about the Christian Faith.

Melodramatic and Over Done

I typically love Christian fiction, i.e. Francine Rivers, Kay Bratt, Lynn Austin, Tracie Peterson, but try as I might, I could NOT stick with this one. And it is not due to the Christian content, its due to the way it is written and narrated. A high strung woman, Lynda Barnett, up in a plane that she hopes to sell, while simultaneously HATES TO SELL, with a self centered playboy, Jake Stevens, when the well-maintained aircraft suddenly starts to fail. The whole story seems far fetched, overly dramatic, and the banter between Lynda and Jake is gag worthy. So right off, I don't like either of them. After the crash, Lynda wakes up, desperate to see Jake. WHAT??? At this point, I do a reality check . . . Do I actually want to listen to this drivel? No . . .

Christian struggles revealed

I love how this author shows the progressive steps of Christianity with the story she brings of those who know the Savior and those who don't.

Who and Why? Real people in a real world!

Where does Evidence of Mercy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

When I find an author that I love it seems they can't write fast enough. Terri Blackstock is among my top favorites.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I was caught up in the story at the very beginning. Trying to guess why someone would go to such extremes to murder Linda.

Which scene was your favorite?

Linda being in her childhood home and finding comfort in it.

If you could rename Evidence of Mercy, what would you call it?

It's a good name, God's Mercy is wonderful.

A little too preachy

I believe in God but this book was a little too preachy for me. I felt like she was trying to weave in converting people with the story but didn't do it successfully. Plot held my interest moderately.

Great story with believable characters

Would you listen to Evidence of Mercy again? Why?

Yes because it was well written and interesting.

What other book might you compare Evidence of Mercy to and why?

"Seasons of Blessing". People facing life that has given them a challenge that most people would have trouble overcoming.

What about Laural Merlington’s performance did you like?

Very interesting and believable performance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laugh and cry both

Any additional comments?

Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite writers.
