Publisher's Summary

When club-hopping bad girl Tiara Kent is found dead in her plush Manhattan apartment, the killing has all the earmarks of a vampire attack. The ever-practical Lieutenant Eve Dallas has to deal with superstitious cops carrying garlic and stakes, as well as the ever-hysterical press. None of the wealthy young victim's friends seem to know much about the Dark Prince she has been secretly seeing. The chase to stop him before he kills again will lead Eve and her team into areas of the city that not even the most intrepid cop wants to visit, and into the very heart of darkness.
Crack another case with Eve Dallas.

A Good Mini "In Death"

While I disagree with the previous reviewer, one must remember that this is a Novella of the "In Death Series" and is not a true representation of the whole In Death Series. I suggest that a listener start at the beginning with "Naked in Death" and work one's way through the 27.5 book available, before passing judgement on a novella.

A Creepy Tale

Would you listen to Eternity in Death again? Why?

No, I didn't especially care for the story. I also felt that, like most of the novellas, the story was rushed

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Made it a full length book on it's own. Didn't really belong in this series to do the story justice. To be in this series they should have played this story differently.

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

i like the way she performs the different characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. No surprises I couldn't see coming. No laughs, no great sadness.

Any additional comments?

No.

Short and Sweet

Another short and sweet excerpt from the life of Detective Eve Dallas. You can go ahead and skip this one if you want to save money, but why would you? 24 books in makes you fully vested in the lives of each character. Go ahead and enjoy!

Another Fantasy/Myth...

The "half" books tend to delve into the more "impractical" story lines, and this one is no different. In this one, Dallas is forced to investigate a "vampire." She, of course, doesn't believe for one second that the guy really IS a vampire, but those around her, Roarke, Peabody, Trueheart, etc., all get caught up in the hype of it all.

A different story type, but good

Different from what I am used to hearing from JD Robb but pleasantly surprised. I really did enjoy it. Of course it was Peabody's silly comment and Truehearts' witty remarks that seemed to put the icing on it: But as always, having Roark part of the team makes the enjoyment and love of the "In Death" series forever #1.

One of my least favorites

This was originally a novella in an anthology with other authors, but one of my least favorite stories.

Excellent!

Every book in the In Death series that has been made into audiobook is superb!! The narrator, the fantastic Susan Erickson, had given life and voice to all the principle players in the series. I have come to LOVE hearing her bring forth the voices, especially those of Eve, Roark, Peabody and Feeney! You can't fix perfection. A++
