T R Ragan has proven that she's not going anywhere. She continues to write books that get better and better with each new one being released.
This book has so much going on. There's the plot that's described in the publisher's summary, that of an angry man who has lost his daughter due to an insurance company not willing to pay for medical treatment. The second is of a woman searching for her daughter. She was taken from the hospital as an infant seven years ago.
The two minor plots are also very interesting. The first, described in the summary is Ben's story. The second involves Jessie's assistant Z. When she's sent out to observe a woman suspected of trying to defraud an insurance company for disability, Z ends up finding something else unexpected and shocking nearby. And that puts her life in danger.
Three of the four storylines are resolved. The fourth remains a cliffhanger.
Kate Rudd does an excellent job narrating.

Deadly Recall is the eleventh suspense thriller from T. R. Ragan; all 11 are big time winners. First there was the Lizzy Gardner series (my personal favorite), then the Faith McMann series, and now the PI Jessie Cole series; Deadly Recall is Book 2 in the Jessie Cole series. I see no reason to add to the excellent publisher's summary. To fully understand Deadly Recall it is necessary to listen to Her Last Day first. Kate Rudd does a great job of narrating all eleven of T. R. Ragan's books.
Purchase the Deadly Recall audio novel at using Whispersync for Voice to get the best price. At Audible the price is $14.95 or one credit. Using Whispersync for Voice without Kindle Unlimited the price is $7.98 (includes Kindle and Audible versions) while with Kindle Unlimited the cost of the audio novel is $1.99 (you also get to borrow the Kindle version).

I haven’t read/listened to a book by this author that I haven’t loved! I can’t wait for more to come out in this series.
I'm definitely in for the next installment of the Jesse Cole novels. At this point I have to find out what happened to the main characters. Ragan knows how to spin a plot and hook you into the story line. My only complaint is the narrator, don't like her at ALL but am stuck with listening to her voice due to a vision disability. Oh well, can't stop now!!!
good book but she overuses the phrase minds eye in her books. all of her books have that phrase.
As good as Her Last Day was this was even better. This one paid close attention to 3 different cases; a baby that was kidnapped 7 years before, the killer who was killing to get the attention of a large insurance company and at Ben’s request Jessie’s trying to find out about the years BEFORE he was in an accident that left him with partial amnesia. AND there’s a little romance going on with Jessie and Colin, too.
I think my favorite character in this book was Zee. She was in the last book too but not as prominent. She is always getting into trouble and always arguing with the voices in her head: Francis, Marion and Lucy. She’s a wonderful character. As is Olivia, the fifteen niece of Jessie. Another great character, not written as a sulky bratty teenager.
Another wonderful and mysterious part is always wondering about who and what Ben really is/was. That’s the part that intrigued me the most. Was he good or bad? Would I find out in this book or would I have to wait for his character to be in a third book. It was fun waiting until the end to find out. And you’ll find out all about Ben when you read this.
As to the narration: I have to wonder about some reviewers who gave Kate Rudd one and two star reviews. One said she was robotic, which makes me wonder if she listened to the book at all. KR did everything the book called for; she laughed, cried, yelled, sounded grumpy, whispered, sounded raspy from the character screaming for his life, sounded like she was in great pain from being poisoned, sounded like a man in anguish from his daughter being kidnapped by a killer. What more could you ask for? And her men might sound a lot alike BUT at least they sound like men. Which is more than most female narrators’ voices give you. If there's 500 men in the same book and they all sound alike that's fine with me. Just as long as they sound manly. Nothing worse than a man who sounds girly.
Nothing new here, if you read Lizzy Gardner you basically read this already. So similar it's annoying. Also, how many times in one story could someone be threatened with a gun? It's too far-fetched.
great read. I love that there were 4 cases involved and the characters are showing us more and more. you'll love it
Love TR Ragan's books. I could just keep listening and listening. Always a good story and love Kate Rudd's narration. She does such a good job.
loved it, the performance is on point. Story line keeps me coming back. I wanna know!
