entertainment of the best variety

As with all the Dirk Pitt series I can listen to this story again and again.

Voice used for Al Gordino :(

I liked the story although it was shorter than a lot of the other books. I did not like the narration voice used for Al Gordino’s (sp?) voice at all.

Completely captivating. Love the Dirk Pitt adventures. I enjoy the the way he and his partner work together so well.

abridged books suck

good narrator. okay story. it would be really good without the abridged crap otherwise great book.

As always, a fun page turner.

I can't recall when i first read this book, about twenty years ago. A bit amazed by how my much I remembered. But I enjoyed it just as much. Clive Chssler has found the right format for a fun exciting read. You are never disappointed by his story or characters.

Good narration and intriguing story.

Liked the story and found the history a good yarn to motivate to keep ready.

Why would you abridge this down to 5 hours

My only issue is that your only option is the abridged version of the book it’s makes for a very incomplete and dissatisfying narrative cusslers books center around huge happenings and cutting out all the little details takes all logic out of the story the protagonist kinda just happens to be in the right place at the right time will all the right info to take down the bag but but we the listener don’t know why

Yes, with reservations. Clive Cussler is my favorite writer.
Dirk Pitt & Al , Kurt & Joe of the Numa Files, Juan of the Oregon Files and my favorite is Isaac Bell Series.

If you’ve listened to books by Clive Cussler before, how does this one compare?

I am sad to say this I believe is Mr. Cussler lesser efforts..Many of the story lines start to meld together, always a Rich crazy mislead fool, A beautiful Girl for Dirk to save, etc..
Problem with this one is the crazy jet ride at the end.. After all the break through's and security, they get on a bogus jet ????? I don't want to add any additional specific's as a cover against spoiler...... his is just my humble opinion.

What about Stephen Lang’s performance did you like?

Stephen did a great jiob. I think Al's voice could of been better but all in all, a fine Job.

Again, I love Clive Cusslers book, I have read all of them,,just a littte disappointed with this one.
