Publisher's summary

All Cookie James wanted was a romantic island picnic with her sexy handyman, Dylan Creed. What she got was a lobster trap full of drugs.

As an ex-FBI agent, Cookie's determined to hand the evidence off to local authorities and stay out of the fray. But when a package arrives with a gory warning, she has no choice but to call in her former partner, Hunter O'Neil, and investigate the case.

Hunter’s arrival brings more than crime fighting expertise. He'd like his connection to Cookie to finally be more than professional. There's no denying the sparks between them. Except with Dylan in the picture, Cookie's realizing someone else might be lighting her fire. Unfortunately, her love life is going to have to wait. Between kidnappings, attempted murder, and stolen kisses, Cookie James has a case to solve.

Walk on the Dead Side

Any book that has me laughing out loud on page one has got to be a winner! I'll just let you listen to find out what had me laughing. Cookie/Charlie is one lucky lady—or is she? Two hot guys. Both interested in her. All she had to do is choose one. Not so easy. At the end of the last book, she thought it would be Dylan, her handyman. They just couldn't seem to make it through date number one. Another case interrupts their date. Drugs. When it escalated she had to call in her ex-partner from the FBI, Hunter. Man number two. While she is out trying to solve the case and ignore the feelings Hunter is generating in her, Dylan could be cooling off.

The steam is more of the tension kind, there is a good love triangle working. You get characters you want to win but you can't choose between the guys either. Poor Cookie. Danger, twists, unexpected culprits, and an ending you won't guess. Another good offer from the team of Lucy Quinn. I recommend it.

The Narration is great. Just enough New England accent not overdone. Each character has a unique tone and flavor. Great job.

Great Mystery!

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Secret Seal Isle Mystery series written by Lucy Quinn and narrated by Marie Traci Odom. Cookie James is an ex-FBI agent. Cookie wanted was a romantic island picnic with her sexy handyman, Dylan Creed. What she got was a lobster trap full of drugs. Cookie's determined to hand the evidence off to local authorities and stay out of the fray. This is a great mystery and kept me listening until the very end. The author and narrator did a fantastic job with this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

What girl do when case literally "handed" to her

When it comes to bad timing cookie has it down, every time she turns around things seem to go awry, simple date seem be out of reach, when case falls in her lap and note comes by hand to her.

Her two favorite guys and best friend with dash of her mother and her friend winters help, thing go off beaten path or is that boat watersways!

What an adventure what happens next is rather exciting in a mystery solving way which guy stays and which one goes!

Great mystery, fun action, don't miss it!

We are back at secret seal harbor. With her crazy mom, Rain and Dylan a hoter the hot fix it man. Cookie has her hands full. There are just a few problems. She is an ex FBI agent in hiding not a Inn keeper and trouble seems to follow her. This time in the form of drugs in a lobster trap when she is one a date with Dylan. Now she was to call in her ex partner Hunter in the FBI to come handle it and that brings up yet another problem, her feelings for Hunter. yea it's a crazy mess but wow what an adventure. I never know what's going to happen next! Great mystery, fun action, killer storyline and fantastic characters makes this one story you shouldn't miss!
The Narrarter Traci Odom does an awesome job on reading the story and acting out the characters. I find myself smirking, smiling or biting my lip just from the inter actions of the characters! Lol great job and awesome story I am hooked on the series

Cookie's Crazy Life

Enjoyed the story. The mystery was interesting and I liked that it didn't start with Cookie finding a body again. Gained more respect for Dillon in this book. Fun book. Narrator did a great job.
