The audio version of My Story of Us: Zach, seriously top notch. I’ve never heard an audiobook with music and sound effects, but it added so much to the listening, and made it a whole experience. With each entry you got a bit of foreshadowing as to what that particular day had going, if it was happy or sad.

This novella is full of emotion, And listening to it literally had me stopping in the produce section trying to not cry; because the way Chris Brinkley spoke broke my heart. I also laughed out loud at stop lights. It 100% is so far my favorite read/listen of 2021. It’s sweet, and gives you the innermost thoughts of Zach throughout the year.

Highly recommend it to anyone!!

Romantic story with depth

Loved this romantic story/diary that had depth. Although about falling in love, it was also about one man's personal growth over a year's timeframe. And while it touched on some serious subjects, those subjects never dragged the story down. Chris Brinkley is not only a phenomenal narrator but also a fine weaver of a good tale.

Love this story of us!!!

I love how the author teaches life lessons as he tells this beautiful love story. Causes me to think about my different relationships and what do I value and how do I spend my time? I will be listening to this again and again! This is for men and women alike. My husband and I listened as we traveled back home to Texas after celebrating with Tennessee family. Listening to “My story of us” had us recalling some of our special memories throughout our 21 yrs together. Thank you Chris Brinkley for writing this beautiful story!

What a beautiful story!

I knew this was going to be a great book but was blown away by the story. I could identify with so many things because they are things we all experience in life. That's all I want a book to do, is to make me feel. Chris's story and his narration were superb. Can't wait for the next book. 💕

I have been deeply touched by this book. To get to listen to 1. An amazing voice. 2. The author explain how this relationship developed from the man's point of view and it was a wonderful adventure. I felt like I was experiencing a friends struggles and joys. I was drawn into the book right from the beginning. The emotion expressed not only in words but in Chris Brinkley's voice brought me to tears and laughter more than once. Two different occasions I couldn't help myself, I was talking back to the book while it was playing. I think it is because he hit on things that were so true and important in my own relationship. I absolutely loved this book. I love that it wasn't overly complicated or that the egos involved were not distracting. It was a heartfelt sometime gut wrenching and joy giving ride. I'm so glad I listened to this book. I look forward to more!! Highly recommend!

Short and Sweet

This was such a sweet story from beginning to end. Chris Brinkley captured my heart immediately and didn’t let go.
This was so comforting and Zach felt like an old friend or favorite sweater.

Sappy, Hallmark Romance

This was a syrupy, sappy story of a dull guy falling in love. Not funny, witty or interesting. Picnics in the park, trip to the museum, classical concert, then some family drama. This was a Hallmark Channel romance. I guess the Smartypants romances are dull and boring. If you love clean and dull, this is for you.
