Wonderful cozy mystery
The reader nailed the character perfectly. The female protagonists is a bit boy crazy but she is an orphan who is looking for a father figure and she’s been burned enough to have a healthy distrust of men. All in all a very believable character. She lives with danger hanging over her head. The scenery is cleverly minimalistic so to keep your focus on the characters but I had no trouble visualizing the scenes. A wonderful cozy mystery.

Very good
Different than what I expected; not a "typical cozy". The main character is intelligent and not repeatedly doing ridiculous things.
The characters have depth and interesting backstories. The mystery is fairly good and the dialogue well-written. Looking forward to the next book.
The narrator was very good. She's articulate and easy to understand. Her voice is deep enough that male characters don't sound silly. It's very easy to follow a dialogue. She does several accents well too.

Great book
It had a slow start but once it got started, it was great. Love the characters and the story line was great. It kept me guessing who the murder was throughout the book.

Narrator killed this book for me
Could not listen to this book as this narrator was not someone that I could listen to for 20 minutes let alone an entire book unfortunately. So sad.
