Sophie McKenzie

Queen of the Teen Thriller, Sophie wrote her first novel, the best-selling Girl, Missing, in just six weeks. This dramatic account of a girl in search of her biological family was followed by two sequels: Sister, Missing and Missing Me - as well as other thriller series including the Split Second and Blood Ties books, and the Medusa Project series about a group of genetically enhanced teenage crimefighters. Sophie's thrillers have won many awards, all of them voted for by readers, including the national Red House Children's Book Award. Having made her name as a thriller writer for teenagers, Sophie has also written a number of teen romance series as well as a range of books for younger children and Becoming Jo, a recent re-imagining of the classic, Little Women. She's also written several crime fiction novels for adults, including the Richard and Judy pick, best-selling psychological thriller Close My Eyes. Sophie is based in London, England and considers writing books her dream job! When she's not working on the next novel, she is likely to be found enjoying Spanish telenovelas or trying out new bakes. She loves watching football and Formula One with her son - and eating out - and in - with her husband. Check out her posts on Twitter and Instagram for updates - and her website for more information.
