Publisher's Summary

Veronica Bauer and Sheila Arden meet by accident as teenagers on a terrible night. Twelve years later, Vee confronts her tragic past with unadvisable coping mechanisms while Sheila tackles a homicide case as a newly-minted detective. Great Story

Though I’ve never read or listened to the first book in the series, any potential blanks were filled in with the narrative. The author has created fantastic and full characters who are complicated, both in their motivations and their relationships.

The narrator also has an incredible grasp on creating unique voices for each character, though I felt the general narration between dialogue felt a little monotone at times.

Overall, great job to both the author and the narrator!

Good

A past event kept in secret. Twelve years later to confront the person you saved. A revenge wanted for the killing of her mother. A good twists to keep you to the end. Given audio for my voluntary review
