Publisher's summary

In 2854, Section 9 uncovers the location of an illegal technology that could unmask a member of The Eleven, their mysterious enemy.

Tycho Barrett is grievously wounded during a mission to seize this technology from aboard a ship docked in a remote settlement on Europa, his life saved with cutting-edge cybernetic augmentation.

Tycho and Section 9 must now race against both time and a revenant from the past to recapture the ship and its cargo before the trail vanishes and The Eleven once again return to the shadows.

lots of action and detailed fight sequences

I enjoy space operas but some are slow to get to the action. This one had lots of action and detailed fight sequences that made it easy to visualize. I really got into it.

A great series!

I have been hooked on this series since book one. With no time to read I prefer audiobooks and the narrator, Greg Tremblay, is by far one of my favorites. He really brings life to the characters throughout the story. J.N. Chaney never disappoints either, his books are always gripping and full of action. The world building is superb and I can’t wait for the next installment. I hope the authors can continue delivering what has been a fantastic series so far.

Gotta love a plot twist

The previous book in this series I described as grim. This one felt more upbeat. Kind of a cheerful tone to me. Not that there wasn't alot of violence or death. There was. This one felt more like a head trip for the reader. More universe building. As always the narrator was on point and helped give the story a bit extra depth. If you've read the previous books which is most likely all of you than you'll enjoy this one.
