Publisher's summary

Pebble Cove is home to more than just fishermen, Victorian houses, and coastal beauty. It also harbors long-running feuds and buried secrets.

When a local man drops dead after drinking a matcha tea latte, Rosemary Woodmere suspects foul play. As a witness to the murder, she’s called in for questioning.

At the station, she meets a new ghost and learns the town’s police force has a dark past when it comes to covering up murder. She might be off the hook, but can she let the case go when she fears the police might be repeating history?

To make things even more difficult, Rosemary’s life with ghosts is getting complicated. While she searches for the truth about how Asher died, Rosemary attempts to help a local spirit encountering her own difficulties with her death. And while a little ghostly help might give Rosemary a leg up in this case, will it be enough when she comes face-to-face with the real killer?

Great 2nd book

I love this series and can't wait for the next book! I love how the ghosts interact with Rosie. I love the sleepy little town vibe where everybody knows everybody. New friendships are formed and all seems right. I enjoy following this new author and the narrator is a favorite of mine. She brings light and reality to the story and has fun doing it. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Tea anyone?

Plenty of growth in this story. Rosemary comes out of her shell, reaches out to Jolene, and Asher learns of the history surrounding his death.

Twists and turns abound. Are the police hiding things, not investigating? Things may not be as they appear.

Bottom line, people can change. It’s what you do with change as you learn.
I listened to this story. It is well written; the characters are growing and have depth.

The narrator adds layers of depth to the story.

Entertaining cozy msytery

It was fun being back in Pebble Cove. This is the second book in the latest series from Eryn Scott and I could not wait to dive in to it. I love stories about small towns, add in mystery and a few ghosts and I knew I was in for an entertaining read with Matcha Do About Murder.

Rosemary Woodmere inheritance her Victorian tea house from her grandmother and is trying to get the business back up and running. Having successfully solved her grandmother's murder with the help of Asher the coast, they are up for the challenge when another murder happens right n front of them.

The more she learns, the more danger she is in and Rosemary leans on the spirits to guide her. There were numerous twists and turns within the story and I found Rosemary easy to relate to and I liked her. I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and am looking forward to seeing where Ms. Scott takes the series.

Narrator Jennifer Jill Araya did a great job bringing this story to life and made this an entertaining listen.

Return to Pebble Cove

Eryn Scott returns to Rosemary, Asher, and Pebble Cove with Matcha Do About Murder. I love this cozy mystery series with a ghostly twist, and I am really glad as her Pepper Brooks series is ending soon.

Rosemary and Asher are a great team, and both facing issues outside the murder they are trying to solve. She is working to keep the tea house she inherited from her grandmother afloat. He is trying to figure out how he died and fill in missing memories from that time. Despite not having the same life experiences as her, I felt that Rosemary was a really relatable character and wished her tea house was a real place to visit.

The mystery was interesting, too. I thought I had figured out part of it, but there were some nice twists and turns to keep it interesting. As everything played out there was also more information revealed about Asher and Rosemary settled into small town life in Pebble Cove. I cannot wait for the next book to see what happens next.

Fun cozy mystery with good narration

I like the characters in this mystery and the twist of the main character being able to see ghosts. The setting is believable for the most part and the mystery was complicated enough that it wasn't obvious what was going on. Jennifer Araya's narration is excellent.

Grab this book and a cuppa, then enjoy!

Ohhhh, my gosh! What a perfectly delightful cozy! I loved it...
This is the second book that takes place in Pebble Cove, a small town nessled along the northern coast of Oregon! Just a 3 hour drive from my hometown of Portland.
I love our quirky protagonist Rosemary (Rosie), as she struggles to run her newly acquired tea house, and looks for new ways to drum up business... all the while, trying to acclimate to Pebble Cove and her new neighbors, both the living... and the dead! Rosie has discovered that she has a nose for finding mysteries, especially when they drop dead right in front of her! And since Asher, her best friend and resident ghost's disappearance, she finds that she's on her own with this puzzling case. She even tries to enlist the aid of the former, now deceased, Mayor Meow (a ghost cat...), but he only wants to lay in the sun and not get stepped on! LOL... typical cat!
So grab the book and some tea and enjoy! This time my tea of choice is a Jasmine, Green tea blend, and No... it's definitely not Matcha.
You'll find Jennifer Jill Araya in top form as she narrates this fun paranormal!
