Publisher's Summary

She's never had an orgasm, and I've never failed a mission.

I spent 12 years going through hell as a major in the marines.

But hell itself wasn't enough to make me forget Abby Greenwood.

I said I'd never set foot in this town again.

Yet here I am...and there she is....

With her perfect body and alluring eyes, begging me to take her.

I never got to taste her before I left.

But now I've got a second chance.

My new mission? Deliver her first "O".

My weapon? Ten inches of all-American muscle.

I'm the only one who can give her what she needs, even if it takes me all night.

Major O is a full-length stand-alone romance. R. R. Banks loves happy ever afters and hates cliff-hangers just as much as you do!

Will they get a second chance at love?

Caleb made a choice to leave his hometown forever 12 years ago and abandon the girl he loved without an explanation. Now a tragedy brings him back to town and he must face the woman he's convinced himself to forget.

Abby has never been able to forget her first love. He left her and never looked back. Her devastation caused her to make an impulsive decision to leave town and marry the first man she met after Caleb. Now she's divorced and back in her hometown dating a guy she deems as safe and predictable.

Caleb swears he'll never settle down. He's a guy who wants to sample everything on buffet and the women he meets are more than ready to give him what he's looking for. He's convinced himself that he left Abby so she could have a better life, but now that they've reconnected he's not so sure. Will fate give them a second chance at love or will a scorned ex lover end it before it can begin?

This is a great collaboration between R.R. Banks and Rodney Falcon. Rodney gives an individual voice to the characters which brings the story to life.

A fantastic major O listen

This is my first listen from the author R.R . Banks . He has a great story told . His story is fast paced. Has many twists and turns that will keep you at the edge of your seat , but rooting for the couple .

Caleb is really he's a player, but he likes to pretend he’s a bad boy Caleb was badly hurt in his younger days and he doesn’t want anyone near his heart again . The only way he can do that is to go from women to women. He’s out with a date , not really a date but a women when he passes another women who catches his eye . It’s Abby that catches his eye.
Abby can’t believe in seeing Caleb again . After Caleb hurt her heart she doesn’t know what to do . And to top it off she sees he’s with a woman.

How will Caleb and Abby handle seeing each other again .
Rodney was great in this story. He did the characters fantastic. His voice is smooth, strong , clear and strong

Finally getting her release :)

Story: Gonna give this one a 3 star. I liked the story line enough, but did not really care for the characters. Caleb was kind of a douche and Abby was a total doormat. Way too forgiving for my liking and accepted him back into her life even after the first time she sees him in years is on the arm of a HS nemesis that he has every intention of bedding down. That in his thoughts and conversations with this chick mentioned how they always had a spark between them but could never act on it because timing wasn't right. Makes me wonder if he was referring to when he was with Abby...just odd. Abby was a shrink and was completely clueless to what was going on around her...

Narration: Rodney Falcon is AMAZING. He did the voices of both characters well. Exactly how I pictured both Caleb and Abby - especially Abby...she sounded completely dejected after years of pining after Caleb. Will definitely listen to more of Rodney's books just not so sure about this author.

Good story - possible spoilers

This was my first listen for this author and narrator, so I was excited. Both the story and narration were good. I like second chance romances, and am intrigued to see why the couples broke up and how they find their way back to each other.

After leaving his hometown years ago, Caleb reluctantly returns to attend a friend’s funeral. He does his best to avoid Abby, the girl he left behind all those years ago. Unfortunately, he runs into her on the street one night leaving the bar…him with Jessica (girl from high school and “girl of the moment”) and Abby with her boyfriend, James - awkward! Abby can’t believe she’s seeing Caleb after all these years and almost gets sick. After a couple uncomfortable moments, the couples go on their way.

Jessica seems to be that person who wants what she wants, and doesn’t care how she gets it or who it hurts. She was the girl in high school who tried to break Caleb and Abby up so she could have Caleb. Personally, I didn’t care for the details of the sex scene with Jessica. I get that sex sells, and even though Caleb got distracted by thoughts of Abby during sex, he found the motivation to continue. For me, it would have made more of an impact that Caleb could still have feelings for Abby and the remorse of leaving her the way he did all those years ago, if he either didn't have sex with Jessica at all or couldn't finish.

Abby’s relationship with James has been boring and “routine”, so she hasn’t been happy for a while. After James’ behavior changes, and he demonstrates anger and scares her, Abby realizes its time to end it with him. He doesn’t take the breakup well, and is in denial. After Caleb helps Abby during a situation with James, the two are finally able to talk and clear the air. Abby is able to find out why Caleb left the way he did and she gets closure, heals and her “orgasmic constipation” is relieved. Lol They wind up getting together, and are learning who each other are now. Unfortunately, after Abby’s refusal to get back together, James goes psycho stalker and kidnaps her to help her see that she was wrong and that they can work it out. Caleb tracks them down and saves her, becoming her Hero. They grow closer, Caleb stays in town, and he and Abby start their lives together.

Side note:
From the start, Caleb says he isn’t a one woman kind of guy, and he wants to taste everything from the “buffet of life”. That’s fine, no big deal, but one point that kept distracting me was the fact that he didn’t wear a condom during sex. In the story, he sleeps with four different women (two he had just met), and we’re given sex scenes with three of the women. In none of those scenes does Caleb wear a condom (and none of the women mentioned it either). Could he have put one on and we just didn't read it? Not from the author's description at the end of the scenes. Did it take away from the story? Maybe not the trials the main characters have gone through, but for me, it wasn’t responsible. Especially with the two one night stands that were strangers...even with Jessica. He doesn’t know her history and what if she turns up pregnant? Talk about drama, especially with Caleb staying in town. If you want to be a player, that’s fine, just be a careful one, :)

Different

This book was different from what I expected. The summary talks about how she’s never had an orgasm by her partner. But in the book, he never even knows this. Also, I found it distracting that they don’t meet until halfway through the book.

Hard going

This hasn't been an easy listen. I found the narrator's timbre fairly pleasant, but could not come with the virtual monotone, barely any cadence used between one sentence ending & another starting. I really tried, but had to stop; I found myself reading without narration so many times that I gave up & returned the audiobook to audible.
