So in love!

I love how all three Locke brothers finally found their true loves. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott's voices are amazing together. They really brought the story to life!

Dangerous Trio

This series is dark and dirty. The Locke Brothers do things we all sometimes want to and do it without apology. Great writing and stunning narration from Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott bring three tales of good men who do bad things for all the right reason. And how they find love with unexpected women. A great listening experience. Enjoy!

Not bad but not for me.

There were parts of each story that I enjoyed and the narration was well done. The problem I had was that the lead guys were all cruel and enjoyed the pain that they brought to others. This was supposed to be made okay by the fact that everyone they tortured was a bad guy. The fact that their cruelty and torture of others turned them on was a pretty big turn off for me but if that does not bother you then these books although short are pretty good.

Locke Love

I love this series of the Locke brothers. They overcame their abuse and loved that much harder. I love this series, all of it. I couldn’t put it down and listened to it in two sittings.

Loved this series!!

This audio series was raw, edgy, hot and passionate.
The Locke brothers are dangerous, intense, possessive, broken, loyal, sexual and love fiercely and are profoundly protective.
I think my favorite brother is Ace the oldest who is a tad twisted and full of angst. At the end of Ace's and Melissa's story I was blushing and panting.
The narration by Wen and Kai was superb as usual!!! I love these two together. This isn't my first ride with them together and they bring it each time and bring the stories to life. Great series by the authors and I enjoyed each brother's story immensely.

Raw and gritty

I want to start with the narration. I absolutely LOVE Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott together. They are amazing and quickly becoming my favorite dual narrator couple. It was easy to tell who was who in each of the stories by the way they spoke. I wasn't sure how it was going to work, especially listening to them back to back, but they did an amazing job of keeping the characters separate from one another.

All three of the brothers were damaged - rough around the edges and violent. But only against people who deserved it - they were modern day vigilantes. Out of all of them, my favorite was Ace and Melissa's story - Twisted Locke and I give it 5 stars. I liked his character from the beginning and was quite surprised to find out he was crushing on the resident goody two shoes...and the feelings ended up being mutual. They balanced each other out, with Melissa having a bit of vigilante in her too. I was happy to see him get his HEA.

Damaged Locke and Savage Locke were 3.5 stars for me, and here's why. I loved the story line for both of them. I love dark, dark books and don't shy away from the brutal. I absolutely do not get offended by someone swearing, I do it myself all the time, I'm no angel. But I felt like in the first two books F$%# was said so many times it lost it's impact. Maybe it would have been different if I was reading them and not hearing them. I started to cringe after a while and for me, it took away from the story.

With that being said, yes, I will read more of the Locke Brothers if another comes out. I'm really hoping for a book with Killian...who knows, maybe he will end up with Gia.

Boring and lots of eye roll moments

I struggled to finish even one of these stories, let alone all three. If you were comparing it to a porn fantasy scenario story then it’s much more advanced, full and detailed than that. However, if you’re actually comparing it to a book then it’s really lacking in loads of areas - sincerity, build up in relationship, believability, chemistry, badassery (that a word?); I can go on. Each of the brothers is basically the same cardboard cutout character, and even the females are all basically the same too. Don’t think it helps that it’s the same narrators each time because it all rolls into one repetitive story. The brothers’ macho bad boy aggressive attitude was more eye-roll-worthy than sexy badass. I presume the novella short length made it tricky to do much with the story. I’d read a few reviews complaining about the use of the F word and I thought maybe they were oversensitive. But seriously, this was a prime example of what my parents used to say where swear words should saved for emphasis; and using them in every sentence is a sign that you’ve got nothing better to say. Using the F word isn’t enough to make these men badasses. It just seems like the author’s simple underdeveloped fantasy.

If you actually want a story with a bad boy sexy love story, you’d be better off listening to books by T.M. Frazier (King series), Debra Anastasia (Mercy is the first book in the series, but I liked the second one Havoc even more), Tillie Cole (Hades Hangmen - warning dark back story), Mia Sheridan (Seek), Jay Crownover (Welcome to the Point series), JB Salsbury (Fighting series) or Katy Evans (Real series).
