Publisher's summary

Nicolle Wallace's third riveting insider Washington novel tells the story of single day in the life of America's 45th President, Charlotte Kramer.

The day commences before sunrise with more than a dozen news crews "embedded" with the president, vice president and the White House senior staff to chronicle a typical day at the center of American political power. While the president is delivering a speech in downtown Washington, D.C., the day takes an unexpected and terrifying turn when multiple terrorist attacks are reported from five different U.S. cities. With the cameras and press corps closely watching her every move, the president navigates the ongoing threat to the nation she loves and has vowed to protect and defend. The explosive events of the day force President Kramer to confront long-simmering tensions among her senior staff and within her immediate family.

Interesting story - awful narrator

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator

How did the narrator detract from the book?

The narrator attempts to do strong male and female voices. Both are poorly done and come through as confusing and phony. It exhausted me to listen.

Any additional comments?

I like Nicole Wallace in her real-life role as a political commentator...even though I am a Democrat. Therefore I bought the book since I believe her view will be accurate and insightful. I can only slug my way through, however, as the narrator is awful. Ms. Wallace has been poorly served.

Great Pool Book

Love Nicole and wanted to support her book, I hope it's a premonition that we'll finally have a Lady President. The terror attacks felt very real, great characters

Lackluster story

The characters were not well developed in the story about the first woman U.S. President who also experienced devastating terrorist attacks. The story was interesting however it was hard to stay involved because there were too many characters that were underdeveloped.

Riveting could not put it down

What made the experience of listening to Madam President the most enjoyable?

The plot is extremely realistic, it takes women's roles which would by today's standards be historic monumental leaps and makes them seem very natural and common.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was Melanie; actually my understanding of the other main characters was through Melanie's assessment of them.

Any additional comments?

Thanks Nicolle, I am now looking forward to getting one of your previous Novels.

Fantastic

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found it true to life, even with a President and Vice President from opposing parties. The narrator was excellent and did a great job bringing the characters to life

I couldn't turn it off.

The first two books were interesting and fun. This one got to me immediately and never let go. I was yelling at the characters about the mistakes they were making and hoping for good outcomes. I look forward to hearing other books by this author.

great read!!

I read all three in the series and enjoyed them all. I'm a Democrat and wondered if it would be a bit problematic for me since the author is definitely a Republican, but it wasn't a problem at all. The issues were so believable and I couldn't stop reading! very entertaining and very real sense issues dealt with.
