Wow not what I expected!!!!

I had this on my wish list but every time I started it I put it down and never came back to it. This time I tried getting through a few chapters when boom I was hooked.

I do think the main characters is too much in her own head a bit of a winner, but I liked the action and drama. I do hope it gets better and in the next book maybe find some peace of mind with the whole matting problem.

I really like the fact the its not just wolf or Lycans but angels, diamond and more. I think the author can bring them more into the mix making the next book even more interesting.

This book is about a wolf rejecting its mate and the pain that mate goes through by trying to stay away. There is some fun stuff like the hot best friend and the cool girlfriend and a world where enemies are looking for revenge on her father's past acts against other wolfs. Wow I pretty much summed it all up!!! No am joking it’s pretty good not my top 10 but I just started my 2023 reading log so I don’t have a book that tops this one just yet. 😉

I really need book 2 ASAP!

wow! loved this book but I really wish I knew there were previous books in the overall story!
This is a fated mate/rejected mate/pnr about Luna and her coming of age at 21 and taking her place as alpha born wolf.
Her 2 bffs are instrumental to the storyline and characters from previous books are mentioned throughout. you can easily follow along without having read those books but I'm drawn to them and wanting to know more!

This is my first time listening to Meg Price and she did a fantastic job narrating each character and giving them a voice.

My only issue with this book is that I want book 2 right away!! I have no patience for cliffhangers but Sloane is a talented world builder so I didn't mind the slow pace.

JUST A GLIMPSE AND NOW I'M HOOKED!

Talk about just breaking the surface.... So initially, this book started off pretty slow. I almost gave up, but I decided to trudge on and boy was I glad I did! Luna is an alpha-born, which comes with familial expectations of her. This is in conflict with what she wants to do with her life, and I get that. Who wants to be forced into something without having had the chance to actually live a full life first?

Nova and Maddox are her two BFFs, who seem to only have one thing in common: meaning they're not exactly chummy, but will tolerate each other for Luna's sake. I found this quite amusing because there's no chance of any love triangles you might get from other books. Although the description says you can read this without having read any of the Seven Realms series, I'm now highly intrigued. Especially if it has more to do with the unique household of a were & angel union. I want to know more about Maddox's entire family, and in particular, the broody Reys!

Things get pretty emotional and intense past the mid-way point. I could not help the tears that flowed upon listening to Luna's anguish. The fates truly are cruel it would seem. Then there's that ending! Totally a cliff-hanger, but am I mad? No! I want more! What's going to happen next?!

Meg Price did a good job narrating this solo. I wonder if she's related to Victoria Mei (aka Natalie Naudus)? I'm also going to check out Shadow Walker's Saga next. I had no idea "A Crown of Blood and Bone" was connected to this! I happened to have it sitting in one of my multiple audio-libraries, untouched. It's Remy's story and I love that it's a reverse harem! This book was very much YA, though I hope it changes as Luna comes into her own as a woman a little over a couple decades old.

I wish there was a second book

I loved this book...when is the second one coming out on Audible, I know there are two more but they are not on Audible.

Luna's story!

This was an interesting introduction to Luna's story.

Initially this was a bit slow in the beginning, however the storyline soon picked up and I couwput this down.

I loved Luna's character!

An amazing listen overall
