Publisher's summary

Tabitha thought moving to New York City would be the chance of a lifetime, but now she was left wondering if she had made a huge mistake. The responsibilities of being a single mom and pursuing her career were becoming overwhelming. Needless to say, falling in love wasn't on her agenda.

So when a handsome photographer named Drake Salinger entered the picture, Tabitha struggled with her budding affection for him. Under normal circumstances, she might have given in to the temptation. But Tabitha was a protective mom, and there was no way she'd risk having her daughter's heart broken by some guy.

Thankfully, Drake wasn't just some guy. He felt an uncontrollable urge to protect and care for Tabitha and her young daughter...and would stop at nothing to do so.

Cute, sweet, clean and short

The story is cute but due to the length of the story it’s not really deep. It’s meant to be a light hearted love story and that’s what it is.
I think the narrator does an excellent job and doing all the voices.
My biggest issue is actually with the cover, and I have this issue with a lot of books so I wish authors wouldn’t do it. No offense to the male on the cover but he is the exact opposite of the way the describe Drake. They say Drake is broad chested, very muscular and very masculine or “all man” is how it’s worded once.

Then you see this skinny, pretty boy who looks all of about 18 on the cover and like he should be wearing skinny jeans with the stupid hat. It’s so hard to look at. It really hurts the story because I have to try and scrub that image from my mind. Just saying, if you don’t have the right guy, leave it blank, or better yet, leave it blank anyway.

Another sweet story from Brooke St. James

Brook St. James is one of my favorite authors. I've read this book more than once and loved listening to it just as much. I recommend all of her books!!

Sweetest 4 year old ever

This was about Drake and Macey’s sister Tabitha. Tabitha was a single parent to an adorable little girl. I loved the scenes with her in it.

Drake is the photographer serial dater. That’s kind of the way he was introduced at the beginning of the series anyway. He’s been used to cause jealousy and tension in almost all the stories preceding this one. And I really loved watching him fall for Tabitha and Isabella. He was their missing piece that completed their family, and Isabella knew it from the first moment she met him. She described him as handsome to her mom. So cute. As usual, I loved this story.

Enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book. Brook St. James has a way of drawing you into her stories and hooking you right from the beginning. Her characters are quirky and sweet, and her style is charming. I especially loved the wasp analogy in this book in regards to facing our fears. I always enjoy Kate Rudd's narration. She did an amazing job as well.

This story was short and cute

From the get go, I do have to say the story kept my attention.
It's basically your damsel in distress that gets rescued by some male hero. The story is ok but one I've heard many times, though the characters and situations may be a little different.
