Publisher's Summary

Three Los Angeles women who’ve helped each other overcome heartbreak are reunited eight years later when their troublesome exes come back into the picture in this follow up to Victoria Christopher Murray’s bestselling novel The Ex Files.

Sheridan, Kendall, and Asia first bonded when they met seven years ago at a church prayer support group and now, their friendship has blossomed into a strong sisterhood. They've helped each other through the tragedies of their breakups and together, they've celebrated their triumphs. But now, their exes are back, wreaking havoc on lives they've work so hard to rebuild.

Sheridan has found love again after her ex-husband left her for a man. But old wounds are reopened when her ex-husband appears with his fiancée—a woman! And all of Sheridan's insecurities and doubts come rushing back. Kendall's former husband is now married to Kendall's sister, Sabrina. And though Kendall has refused to interact with either one in the last seven years, she's forced to reunite with Sabrina when their father is diagnosed with cancer. Asia has done her best to move away from her married boyfriend, a former star with the LA Lakers. But when they share a kiss, old desires are rekindled and Asia decides that it's time for her and Bobby Johnson to get back together again.

With her trademark writing that “has the kind of momentum that prompts you to elbow disbelief aside and flip the pages in horrified enjoyment” (The Washington Post), Forever an Ex is Murray's best novel yet.

Not an Entertaining Read or Even interesting

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I picked this book out for my book club and it was a huge disappointment. The story line goes from one person's depressing life to the next, with no resolution. I think someone who is looking for a nice Christian book that is trying look for some drama may like this book. It really made no sense as the story went on and became irritating, many of the members decided against even finishing. If you can get it for free then maybe go for it !

Would you ever listen to anything by Victoria Christopher Murray again?

Maybe much later in the future when the taste of this book is long forgotten. I want to support but I feel like I would like my money back.

What didn’t you like about Suzzanne Douglas’s performance?

The narrator did a good job.

What character would you cut from Forever an Ex?

All of them, none of the character's were not relatable but Asia was the closest to interesting.

Any additional comments?

Not a good read.

Lessons Learned!

Loved this storyline! This book gives you a powerful lesson on forgiveness and what can happen when you don't take heed to things that can turn your world upside down.

Boring

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Nothing about this book is good. There are no plots or anything...just telling a rounded sad story that's depressing and it does not wrap the story around to make a meaning of why even write the book. Just totally disappointed.

Would you ever listen to anything by Victoria Christopher Murray again?

No...Boring with no plots, drama, just nothing

Would you be willing to try another one of Suzzanne Douglas’s performances?

No

What character would you cut from Forever an Ex?

All. It was plain out stupid...the book didn't need to go into Kindle's, etc. life. It shoud've stayed around the first family....it's so jacked up I can't even remember the original people's names...the one with the daughter by the married man and the wife Caroline threatened her...then the story of them stop...REALLY??? Just dumb

Good read but if u don't read the first one..

You have to read the Ex Files in order to enjoy Forever an Ex. It was not as good and not as many twists and turns as the first book.
