Publisher's Summary

When Lucy Hawkins receives a job offer in San Francisco, she can't wait to spread her wings and leave her small Virginia hometown behind. Her close-knit family supports her as best they can, by handing over the keys to a station wagon that's seen better days. The catch? The cross-country trip comes with a traveling companion: her older brother's best friend, a.k.a. the guy who took Lucy's virginity hours before breaking her heart.

After spending the past four years and every last dime caring for his sick father, Reece Sullivan will do just about anything to break free of the painful memories - even if it means a two-week road trip with the one girl who ever made it past his carefully guarded exterior. But after long days of bickering in the car turn into steamy nights in secluded motel rooms, Reece learns that, when it comes to Lucy, their story is far from over. And this time, they just might have a shot at a happy ending.

Contains mature themes.

Totally and Completely Nerve-wrecking

Lauren Layne why? It's hard for me to understand or champion the couple being together. The only thing about Reece that made me feel that he was worthy of Lucy was Lucy. Lucy's childhood crush should be that and only that. I spent the whole story hoping that Reece's anger and betrayal would make sense or be justified and it never really seems to happen to me. On top of that, it was drawn out in a kind of angsty and dramatic way that took away instead of add to the story. All broken inner thoughts and no communication made it so the couple had no chemistry. I had to skip through the sexy times because I just didn't feel that they belonged there. I hate giving such a bad review but I'd say there are better choices for your credits sadly this wasn't part of the romance package so it doesn't even have that redeeming quality. Also, Rudy Sanda didn't help matters his accents and different voice were terrible had it read his part straight out it would have been more tolerable because his normal part wasn't swoon-worthy but they did the job.

this one was ok

This book was not as good as Good Girl or Blurred Lines if the series had started with this book I would not have continued. I am not a fan of the present time to past flip flop... I found myself skipping the past chapters... the present time chapters made a terrific story they did not need the Back stories she could have told it in one chapter and been done

Great Potential

Pretty good lead up to a little bit of a letdown. He was horribly in the wrong and there was no repentance. She was immature and stupid.
