Recommended

The author skillfully covered all of the apparently separate pieces of the story into a shocking yet pleasant conclusion, and I thoroughly enjoyed encountering Julia and Jake's journey. With plenty of push and pull between Jake and Julia, cooperations with wonderful secondary characters, and a lot of truly hilarious moments to lighten the mood of the story, Love & Homicide is a wonderful story, and I can't wait to start hearing to the next book in the series

Mystery, romance and some comedic relief........

Love & Homicide is at heart a sweet love story, but it also has an intriguing mystery and plenty of action. The book opens with Julia in a coma after suffering a vehicle accident that resulted in the death of a baby in the other car. Jake is the police detective investigating the case, and he becomes a little infatuated with her while waiting for her to awaken from the coma. Once she does, she is not only plagued by vague and threatening nightmares of the accident, but she experiences lots of random and bizarre incidents. All of this leads to a sense of dread on the part of Julia (and the reader) as Jake and she try to piece together what is happening. The author skillfully wrapped all of these seemingly unrelated pieces of the story into a shocking yet satisfying conclusion, and I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Julia and Jake's journey. With plenty of push and pull between Jake and Julia, interactions with wonderful secondary characters, and a lot of truly hilarious moments to lighten the mood of the story, Love & Homicide is a wonderful story, and I can't wait to start listening to the next book in the series. For those looking for a racy read, this book talks around sex more than actually describing any sex scenes, but it manages to pack plenty of steam nonetheless.

Bolton Hill's narration is superb. He has a husky, throaty voice that is perfect for this romantic and sexy story. His delivery is flawless, and his pacing and intonation are perfect for every mood of the story. He is already a favorite narrator for me, and this audiobook further cements that opinion.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.
