A biblical solution to a very real problem

What a beautiful testimony to the power of the love of Christ at work in the lives of those who yield to Him! Love is listed first in the fruit of the Spirit. Showing love to someone who society has said you should hate is a wonderful demonstration of Christ. However, as Clarence and Gary help us understand, what we think is a show of love may be offensive to someone of another culture. Take time to learn, and take time to love.

Making a cross-cultural friend can change your life and even our world

Our country needs this book now more than ever. A 50-year-old friendship is rare today ... but even more so when it is a cross-cultural one between a black man and a white man. Many would say that is impossible, but it can and has happened. Do you have a friend from another culture or race? As authors Gary Chapman and Clarence Shuler share their close, cross-cultural friendship, the reader learns about how special these friendships can be. Read and discover the rich rewards, the relational challenges, and the impact of cross-cultural friendships. This book helps the reader catch a glimpse of what it means to "walk in the shoes" of someone from another race or culture. Here's the encouragement that is shared several times in the book: Imagine what would happen in our nation, or in any nation, if each of us had a least one personal relationship from someone of another race or culture. Such intentionality could revolutionize and benefit the world in which we live.
