great elven romance

I think this book was great. I wanted to read an elven romance and this delivered.

Wonderful story!

Love the story! Only wish the narration was a little better. Some of the editing is a little rough. She has a wonderful voice to listen to don’t get me wrong... I only wish she could do more to bring the varying characters to life and attempted to do a good male voice. (But please don’t let that comment prevent you from listening or reading the book)! The performance was just lacking the WOW factor for me.

Overall I would give this audible book
3 1/2 stars.
This is the first book of this series that tells the story of a scientist/doctor, Olivia and Lauren, the prince of the elves.
The narrator lacked the modulation to effectively pull off the male roles.
When the author describes a prince as having a deep male voice the listener doesn’t want to hear a light female British accent. That scene took place early on in the book and pretty much turned me off from that point on. I stuck with listening just so I could find out how it ended.
This book would have been better by just reading it.

I don’t normally enjoy romance novels

On average, I am more partial to adult romance mangas, because novels often feel as though they drag on. However, I adored this. It felt like the best of both worlds. It was engaging, romantic, well performed, and the pacing worked well. Although I was listening to a novel, it was so well written, and performed, that I could actually visualize the story into my own little movie. Well done.
