Absolutely a family favorite.

Years since I heard this version and it still makes me listen, laugh, and make all the same facial expressions it once did, simply from listening so intently because it's so well done!

An amazing bedtime story

What made the experience of listening to Winnie the Pooh (Dramatised) the most enjoyable?

The narrators gave a new perspective to the story, and the sounds and musical notes made it perfect.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favourite character was Eeyore. His depressive mood and negative thinking contrasts perfectly with some of the more cheerful characters in the book. And the way his friends keep trying to help him and cheer him up is simply adorable. For me his birthday is one of the best stories in the book.

Which character – as performed by the narrators – was your favorite?

Judi Dench as a narrator was my favourite. She was able to tell the story in playfull and entertaining way.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I bought this audiobook right after watching the new Winnie the Pooh movie and started to read at night night in my bed. I quickly found that this one was an amazing bedtime story that would put me to sleep in a very restful way. Not because the audiobook is boring and can't be read all the way trough (I've done it and its a very nice experience too) but because the voices, the sounds ans the story are so soothing.

Almost perfect

Some of the sound effects were over the top but otherwise great and no flaws, I really liked it... So get it

Best Book We've Downloaded So Far

My daughters are 5 and almost 7. They LOVED this version of Winnie-The-Pooh. They listened to it once on our way to visit family for Thanksgiving, and twice on the way back. They were already big fans of Stephen Fry's narration of Paddington, but they liked this even better. The voices are perfect. My husband and I enjoyed it too; a lot of the wry humor is lost in the Disney version of Pooh.

This tops anything I've purchased!

If you could sum up Winnie the Pooh (Dramatised) in three words, what would they be?

You must purchase!

What did you like best about this story?

Definitely the narration and sound effects. It adds a dimension that you can't find in books read by only one person. Winnie the Pooh is a favorite of ours, and this version tops our list.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

The stellar cast on this recording does a truly amazing job. I couldn't believe what a difference it made (vs. a book read by just one person). The sound effects are wonderful as well; my children are always entirely absorbed in listening when this is on.

Piglet's Voice Is Cuteness as an Art Form

Where does Winnie the Pooh (Dramatised) rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty high; among the very best of the kid's books I've tried.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Piglet. The voice.

Any additional comments?

This is a perfect mix of cuteness and dry humor. Eeyore and Pooh contrast with Piglet and Christopher Robin and keep the tone from slipping into sugar sweetness. The book is brilliant, and this performance is a highly intelligent interpretation.

Doesn't miss a beat

Such a fun listen. Can't recommend it enough. My 3-year-old has it on repeat. For me it took a bit to adjust to WtP's voice since I was so accustomed to Disney's version but the actor (as are all the actors) is excellent. This is slightly abridged but the much of roundabout dialogue is preserved.
