Publisher's Summary

This collection of 18 of Beatrix Potter's charming stories about Peter Rabbit, Tom Kitten, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tittlemouse, and the others have enchanted children for over a hundred years and will surely do so well into the future. Beatrix Potter's tales were often connected with real places, people, or animals, so each story also includes a brief introductory note about its history.

Critic Reviews

"Nadia May's dramatization is very good. Peter Rabbit is young and reckless, Squirrel Nutkin as rude as can be, the cats sound dangerous, and the mice in 'The Tailor of Gloucester', well, they sound just like the most sociable mice I know." (AudioFile)

Loved the stories

I loved the stories. They really brought back memories. The narrator did an excellent job. I could see the characters in my mind's eye as she was reading. The only problem that I had was the skipping over wirds in parts of the stories. Thats why I only rated 4 stars for the overall review. I t could just be a technical issue.

Wonderful Stories (TERRIBLE TRACKING)

Would you try another book from Beatrix Potter and/or Nadia May?

We love Beatrix Potter and we love Nadia May! However, these stories are meant for children, so I feel like there ought to be a way to turn on one particular story rather than only have an option to listen to the 3 hours straight through each go.<br/>You can take careful notes on times that one story ends and another begins. The transition from one story to the next is very quick. Scrubbing with that much precision on iTunes is impossible. On the iPhone, there is more of a chance for precision, but what 4 year old has an iPhone!?
