Loved it!

What made the experience of listening to Prince Caspian the most enjoyable?

Lynn Redgrave's voice! What a master she is at portraying the many voices in this tale!
Fabulous!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Prince Caspian?

The very last! And the few right before when the children are leaving Narnia to return home. It makes the mind run wild with wondering other possibilities.

What about Lynn Redgrave???s performance did you like?

Her rich voice and easy variability from one character to the next. She also truly caught the feel of each situation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just pure enjoyment!

Good Book, Good Series, One Minor Tech Issue

Any additional comments?

As with the first book in this series, the reader does an excellent job reading the story, using various accents and tones to give each character a unique voice. The one small issue with this audiobook is, there are a few skips in the audio, which really break the immersion and take me out of the story. There are a few in Chapter 1, and maybe 1 or 2 elsewhere. It's not anything egregious, but it's enough to notice and take me out of the story.

A good one!

Glad to have this series available on Audible; it lets me enjoy favorite tales whenever I want to, while also letting me accomplish necessary tasks and chores. And especially because my '64 Nova gets NO reception on its original radio - with Audible I DO have something to listen to. 😁
Thanks!

great story, ok narrator

The narrator was okay, though I felt she left some opportunities to wow and really drag you in. She didn't always identify with the characters and it was apparent. Her reading did not distract from the story for me, but there was room for improvement.

Any additional comments?

Recently, we had the joy of introducing our grandson to the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. On the long, 5-½ hour drive to his house, we listened to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We also had enough time to begin listening to Prince Caspian. The ride went quickly as we enjoyed the audiobooks. My husband and I enjoyed it so much that we finished Prince Caspian as we drove home. The series never loses its magic. The narration was great. The book and/or audiobook are appropriate and enjoyable at any age.

Gotta love C.S. Lewis

Prince Caspian is another great story from the Chronicles of Narnia by the great writer C.S. Lewis. Like his other books, this one is written in a cute and fun way, almost as if someone is telling you a bedtime story. The reader does a good job as the narrator and characters.

Fantastic!

Excellent story and a good Biblical study tool/conversation piece -- especially if you're into apologetics.
I highly, highly recommend it.

Good storytelling but horrible characterization...

Would you consider the audio edition of Prince Caspian to be better than the print version?

I am loving the book - I read along with the narration. However, the way the actress voices the different characters ruins the audio version. She reads Lucy as though she were a whiny 5-year old, and makes Aslan sound like a tired old man. Some of the other characters are OK, but overall I am not happy with this audiobook.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She makes some of the characters annoying and grates on my nerves!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book is great CS Lewis. If you've read and liked others inthe Narnia series, you probably will enjoy this one as well. As I understand it, this was actually the second book that Lewis penned, the first being Lion, Witch, Wardrobe. BTW, the narration of LWW is excellent in my opinion, which is what prompted me to buy Prince Caspian. VERY disappointed.
