Publisher's summary

Aletha Dewitt has led a charmed life. At least, that is how it appears from the outside looking in. Yes, she has had everything a person could possibly desire - except real respect. Because she was born female, her grandfather doesn’t believe she is capable enough to be a part of the family business.

What he doesn’t realize is she has more ideas and ambition than her brother will ever have. She sets out to prove to him she’s more than up to the task. Nothing will stand in her way, not even love.

Rafael Conte Leone is traveling to attend the wedding of one of his closest friends. He never imagined he’d meet the woman of his dreams on a train, but he fully intends to do everything possible to win her heart. Even help her take the mantle of one of the largest candy suppliers in the country. The problem is convincing the lady that they belong together.

With Christmas around the corner, miracles are a very real possibility. Both Rafael and Aletha start to believe they could have it all with the magic of love.

Fun, Short Romance ❤️

A delightful historic romance of an American lass (Aletha), striving to earn respect in business, who encounters a charming international businessman (Rafe) on a train. Engaging dual narration.

Unexpected love

I truly enjoyed this short book about unexpected love. Aletha has suffered all her life of bot receiving enough respect due to being a woman. Her family's goal for women was just to get married and be a nice wife. She wanted more of her life...respect and responsibility in her family business. Although when she meets stranger on the train her thoughts wander to life and marriage. Little does she know that she will meet him again.
The narration was fabulously done and I loved both voice actors.

Quick HEA

I fell in love with Rafael right along with Aletha. I loved his sisters and hated her family. Dawn Brower manages to pack a full story into such a short time that I get my HEA quickly

How to Kiss a Debutante

I just love the Marsden's and this new series of the Descendants is fantastic. You get to visit old favorites and a new story. Aletha just wants to be treated and respected as an equal, but this time era is not generous to women. The story is fast paced yet fun and sweet. Great job on the narration.
