A brilliant masterpiece
An absolute genius of an author! The creative imagery created by this author kept me spellbound from the first page to the last. She made me feel each and every word. what a story she has spun. I think I will listen once more time or maybe many a time 😁. Thank you

Betrayal and Love
The Captain take a bet that he can get the heiress to dance with him twice. She only allows one dance to each gentleman. She has refused the Captain any dances. Will he win the bet? She is the Duke's Daughter and he is a second born son. However, he is a war hero and a Captain. Will she give him 2 dances? The narrator, Lillian Rachel, gave a good performance.

Love, lust, and loss
This story is an easy listen with likable characters. The narrator keeps it light and enjoyable.
(Note: It does get a bit steamy)

Second Son Bets on Duke's Daughter
Dylan, a second son of an Earl and a Regency era damaged military veteran, bets he can dance twice with an aloof Duke's beautiful daughter, only to enter into a very entwined life dance. Predictable but enjoyable.

A grand beginning
I love titles and nobility of the time period. I loved that love finally wins out. I just took one star away because of the is it for love or duty part of the story. I got this book from a contributor and this is my honest and voluntary review.

Overall I'd actually choose 3.5.
I really enjoyed the book. The narrator did an excellent job. The heroine was kinda all over the place. I don't really like when they are petty over things and go back and forth. The author is really good but she'll definitely soar when the book has less back and forth between the h/h
