This Story Is Sexy

Publisher's Summary

"Rainelle, you were eye-f--king me in the casino."

Rae couldn't exactly deny what Andrei, the king of the incubi, said so matter-of-factly. But she is her father's daughter and having a forbidden liaison with a sinfully irresistible demon king is not something her demon hunter father would have approved of. With just one glance from Andrei's piercing cerulean eyes, however, she found herself being plunged into delightful unknown territories, and only half-caring whether she should sink or swim.

Should she fight her unholy but oh-so-delicious-attraction to the dark lord, or ignore the warnings of her demon hunter blood and just give in to the indescribable, enticing pleasures he brings her? If you love sexy romantic comedies with a dash of supernatural, then this charming story by Kimber Lee of a beautiful sassy PI and her seductive, drop-dead gorgeous demon king is for you!

got to chapter 6...

This was supposedly like the Jeaniene Frost books that's why I bought it however this was nothing like them.
This book was ridiculous, there was hardly a story line.
There was non stop verbal disgust spewing from the mouths of everyone, I don't mind cussing but goodness when I start to cringe enough is enough.
On top of that the girl is a whiny, irritating, character, i think the author was trying to go for a sarcastic spitfire well that DID NOT happen. Please, please, if you've ever read/listened to the Night Huntress books, do not waste you money.

Enjoyable......But

Any additional comments?

Fun, humorous ,entertaining and enjoyable.
3.5 rating

The story pulls you in and all you can do is hang on for the ride. Your earbuds might melt. If you don't like a lot of sex, hot steamy, rough and explicit sex in your books then this is not the book for you.

Rainelle Erickson is an untouchable, a demon hunter by blood and a PI. On an investigation she winds up getting mixed up with a variety of supernatural characters including Demons, Angels, an ancient Succubus and the Incubi Demon King just to name a few.

Rainelle is a demon hunter who falls for one of biggest demons of all The Incubi Demon King.

Does end in a cliffhanger

The But - I'm on the fence about this one. Overall I enjoyed the book. There were a few scenes that I could have done without. While I have no problem with sex in my books, sometimes less sex and more story is better.

Audible has this listed as Humor, needs to be under Erotica/Paranormal or a combination of the two.

Melissa Barr did a really good job with the narration. Pleasant voice easy on the ears. Nice smooth pace. Clear pronunciation. Great character voices. Well done.

In love with this author!

Au received this book for free from the author/narrator for an honest and unbiased review.

I am completely speechless and in awe over this book. It took a bit to get going but once it did it was amazing. The cover is what brought me into wanting to read the book and now I am a Kimber fan for life.
This book is definitely worth a credit and the narration was great!
Worth a credit- YES!!!
Cannot wait for more from Kimber.

Happy Reading/Listening!!!

great story

ok. This story is about an incubus so if alot of sex will make you sqimish then this book is not for you. but if you can get beyond the sex the story is terrific. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

too much sex

struggled to finish because the story is hidden behind all the sex... if you want to read a bad porno this is for you. I only wished the author would have focused on developing the story instead of just filling the book with as much sex as possible...

Could not finish it.

The story gets to be just to dark and disturbing. The main character gets to be annoying. The erotica gets very predictable. All in all I'll be asking for my credit back.

Wow

What did you love best about How to Kill an Incubus?

This was definitely a fun story well worth the time. I got this under the comedy section, there was a couple of funny lines and a whole lot of sex.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Melissa Barr?

Melissa Barr was amazing, I absolutely loved her narration of the story

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no, due to the content it just made for uncomfortable situations 😜

Just not for me..and it ends on a Cliff Hanger

Any additional comments?

This book wasn't for me, it wasn't bad... but not one of my favorites either.

Rainelle or Rae, the female lead of the story, is a Supernatural Private Investigator.
She happens upon Andrei Angelescu, the Incubi King, at a casino and sparks fly.

There is explicit language and scenes,
also, a Heads up, this book ends on a Cliff Hanger.

Melissa Barr did ok with the narration.

Wow, not what I expected BUT oh so much better

If you could sum up How to Kill an Incubus in three words, what would they be?

Steamy, funny, and amazing

Who was your favorite character and why?

My Favorite character was Andre. I love a tough guy who doesn't know how to deal with his feelings. There is something so endearing about a man who chooses to be kind and soft to those he loves rather than keeping everything hidden inside.

What does Melissa Barr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved just about everything in this book! The story was amazing the writing impeccable and the narration was almost perfect. I really liked the steamy scenes like any self-respecting romance novel reader, but that was certainly not all. the only bad part was that I could hear a bit of an accent when she said her "R's"

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

There is something so satisfying as being killed by an orgasm.
