He won't let anyone get in his way, not angelic armies, scheming guilds, or the people who want to talk about that time he altered the fundamental laws of magic. Which isn't as bad as it sounds, he promises.

Jason's taking a gap year, whatever he has to do to make it happen. Manipulate a prestigious noble house into liberating a slave town. Attempt to extort every government on the planet. Blow up and subsequently rebuild the occasional city. Gods help anyone who tries to stop him, but the gods probably won't because they've met Jason and they know how that usually goes.

A sad downfall

I have very much enjoyed and recommended these books. I love the adventure! But I hate him adding the pronoun game. Only narcissist make others change their language to make themselves feel better about themselves and use it as a pretents to feel superior. This pushes me away as a reader. I loved the story.

Come for the laughs, stay for the content.

Great book 12. I’m currently more into Primal Hunter but glad I can get a new book in this series and it hit like book 1.

homeward bound

good segue, this one felt a little shorter than previous books and it felt a little more cloak and daggerie. the worst part is how long it takes to get the next book😑

Batman voice was awesome ...best part of the book!

Jason Asano is the most fleshed out character in any book ever. At points it felt like too much. but when viewed as a whole I have to admit he is completely awesome. More than just funny, more than just clever, more than just an OP magic warrior person ...u really get to know him as a person.

He is imperfect and has some real headspace stuff that he needs to work on, but u know his values, u know his quirks, and u know he's liable to say something completely out of pocket ...and after all these books (years) he feels like a real person, and not just a character in a story. Moreover, I like this person, and I'd want to hang out with him if I could.

A lot of MCs r reductive, annoying, and just generally unlikeable.
Jason Asano is a giant among toddlers and he is a triumph of writing ability ...have to give Shirtaloon a ton of credit. He did good.

100's of hours later I still love the worlds, the magic, the action, and the characters.
Highly recommend getting each and every book in the series!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book that closed many story arcs that have been building for years. Such an interesting world the author built.

this series got me into Litarpgs

the story has just the right amount of comedy and seriousness to keep it entertaining. the story is well put together and easy to follow. the voice work sounds clean and each charecter has there own individual voice and personality.
