Publisher's summary

Habitats is the seventh in a series of near future sci-fi/thrillers, whose young heroine Ell Donsaii has a nerve mutation which has made her a genius as well as an athletic phenomenon.

In Habitats, she is continuing to find uses for the quantum-entangled wormholes she discovered. These wormholes aren’t big enough to send people through, yet they are making huge changes in our world.

After a friend lost his hand, Ell finds a way to use ports to build better prostheses for amputees! However, there are terrorists wanting to use ports to cause destruction and the military arms of some countries covet them, as well. Ell must try to prevent such people from obtaining the technology and using it for harm. Meanwhile, her small company is trying to build a habitat in space, and one of her rockets has discovered a mind-boggling habitat at Sigma Draconis.

Love these books.

What some of the negative reviews for this book don't seem to grasp is that this is a continuation of the series. For the story to continue Ell needs to have a life that includes romance. If it was just her running a company it'd be boring.

My opinion, the author forgot...

...what made the original books so interesting, and it wasn't the romance filler!

This book had way too much filler, and it was mostly romantic. Not what I wanted!

This will be the last book of this series, sadly!

Depiction of El character troublesome

I find I am getting more and more frustrated with the lead female character who is able to eat. Six large doughnuts never put on any weight and always look amazing. I find the emphasis on her ability to eat large meals constantly to be a bit alarming. The constant commentary from other characters about how attractive she is what an amazing body she’s got, and the amount of food that she can eat is just completely unnecessary and repetitive. I’ve listened to all seven books so far, but I’m getting a bit sick of this thing, it does not seem supportive of a brilliant women’s role in this book, it seems to take away more more because so much time is spent discussing it in these books. I am really disappointed.
