gripping
I believe that this is T.R. Ragans debut, it's hard to wrap my mind around human trafficking...I loved the characters that are so fearless, and a mother's fury. Edge of my seat the whole time, getting the next book right now!

Couldn't stop listening
This story made my skin crawl because it brought to light what really happens with human trafficking. Can hardly wait for the sequel. The narration was pretty good, but sometimes it seemed very mechanical. However still a very good listen.

Intense! Finished in 1 day!
This book grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t stop plowing forward!! It calls much needed attention to the terrors of human trafficking, child trafficking to be exact. The details, experiences, absolute insanity Of this sick dark world that no one wants to talk about. IT IS an epidemic far more terrifying than anything else going on in the world. I live in TN, and this state is rapidly gaining as one of the top human trafficking area of the country. What was once “Mayberry,” is now filled with soulless monsters. My daughter was being cased in a grocery store. I was right beside her. She’s 6, her brother was 8, and this monster was following us. He had a buddy outside waiting. Be alert, be aware, be ABSOLUTELY SUSPECT OF EVERYONE! It’s happening everywhere! I will absolutely proceed to purchase book # 2. I’m blown away!

Enjoyed the story
It's sad to think that children are taken everyday. I know this if just a story, but it reminds us to watch out for a children even if they aren't ours. Enjoys the story line

Narrator ruined it for me
What didn’t you like about Kate Rudd’s performance?
The story wasn't too bad, but the narrator was odd. Her main character voice was okay, but when she did the other characters it was a very bizarre stilted "accent" that was very distracting. I will have to get the books if I plan on finishing the series as I barely made it through the audiobook.

horrifying but so well written
The main subject here is the trafficking of children and it is horrifying and heartbreaking. so well written and amazingly performed...i couldn't stop. highly recommend
