With Declan O'Carroll on Fairie and Chris Gordon on Earth, what could go wrong? Try everything. Scheming elves, deadly zombies, killer goblins, flaming dragons, and dirty diapers. With a growing, insidious threat to Earth, Chris and Tanya race to save lives while Declan, Stacia, and friends work just as hard to save their own lives on an alien world, far removed from the comforts and safety of home. Only together will they overcome the odds. But, come on, with this team, maybe the odds should look out.

15 stars!!!

One of my favorite series of all time...this is a great continuation. Expanding and ever evolving characters it is a divine mixture of paranormal, fantasy and action adventure with a dash of history thrown in. All in all a perfect tale, yet I still want more. Conroe and Cronin- job well done.

Pretty good

I thought the last three books- God Hammer, Rogues, and Snake Eyes were the best books of the series, so far. Winterfall was not quite as good, but I think Mr. Conroe was using this book to set up the conflict in future books, which might explain why it wasn't quite up to the high standards of the previous books.
If I had one suggestion, it would be that Mr. Conroe work on making more sympathetic elves. I know Neve was initially set up as being possibly a good guy, as opposed to her cousin, and in Black Frost, it appeared that she might be interested in the protagonist, but by the end of Winterfall, I was hoping that Stacy or one of the others would successfully shoot her.

Missing Declan's POV

Love this series, worth the time investment but have come to enjoy Declan's POV more than Chris's and then adding in Mac's.... like the character but him carrying half a book is a bit much.

Better than Snake eyes

I will admit. When John Conroe first intruduced Declan, i wasn't very happy with the character. It seemed like John spend a lot of time on what, to me, seemed like a mere side character. but as Godhammer rolled out, i was fully on board the Declan train. He had become such a cool character, in my eyes, and i loved every minute of Declan-time in Godhammer, but then Rouge and Snake Eyes were released, which was turning Declan to a, in my eyes, somewhat small side character, which was a disaster in my eyes.
Finally, along came Winterfall. granted, this still has Declan on the side-lines and we're following Mack and Jetta, but we still get to experience the awesomeness, that is Declan O'Carroll.

Now, as you can probably figure out from the cover, this is a 2-sided story, like Godhammer was. On the other side of the coin, we follow, as is most often, Chris and Tanya. They are in Europe, trying to help the Vatican with a new threat. One we have never seen before.
honestly, i found that part mediocre at best. There isn't really any juice left in the whole Chris and Tanya story. Chris has almost reached demigod status. Tanya is busy being a mother to their kids, and is pretty unbeatable, in her own way.
For what they contributed to the story in this book, they has way too much screen-time.

Once again, a great installment

This series has been so consistently decent it's not even funny. I love the dynamic that Mr. Conroe has created between his characters, and this series totally scratches my superhero itch, even though the characters aren't your conventional superheroes. I have yet to be disappointed with this series, and James Patrick Cronin is one hell of a great narrator as well.

An Awesome New Addition

I freaking love this series! And, this book has added an awesome new dimension to a series that is already brimming with my favorite elements of action, fantasy, science fiction, romance and the supernatural. The pacing of this work is phenomenal, and the way John Conroe intertwines the multiple plot lines and merges them at the end is elegant and clever. I am very excited for the next release.

felt like a filler book

Nothing game changing. We got to see fairy in more detail and a new enemy however I was hoping to find out more about the elders, especially elder sal.

Hopefully next book?

Great performance from James as per usual.

Loved it

I love this series, and I like declan but I started with Chris so I prefer his POV more so I like the earlier books more than this one. I liked how John is mixing different genre into this series and so far its great. I hope the next book is soon and longer.

hmmmmmmmmmm

it's Ok but spending half the book on mack having a headache and being a smithy is somewhat disappointing, which leads to another rushed ending

Glad I read it but why can I not download it read

I'm furious as once again a purchased book does not turn up either in my library nor on the cloud drive. Cross I could spit feathers (I enjoy Mr Conroe work but) I'm continually frustrated by Amazon's inability to sort out a glitch where my books either aren't in the cloud or library to download or I have to spend time returning and purchasing them again and again until I get a copy that will open. Frankly I'm very annoyed. Sort the problem out Amazon.
Mr Conroe I have already read this book a delight as usual and I fully understand Amazon's ineptitude isn't your fault.

Yet another good one, sorry, I mean 5 star one.

No spoilers so just going to say that it expands a lot on the main story arcs, (Chris/Tanya and Declan/Stacia).

Well worth it!

This whole series was a absolute pleasure to listen to. Do it in the right sequence though. The presenter also did a great job. Well done!
