Publisher's summary

Location: north of the Arctic Circle, Population: 150 (mostly men!) But the three O'Halloran brothers, who run a bush-plane charter service called Midnight Sons, are heading a campaign to bring women to town.

Brides for Brothers

Sawyer O'Halloran, the middle brother, isn't entirely in favor of this scheme. But he considers himself immune to any woman - even the lovely Abbey Sutherland. She's arriving in Alaska within days. However, there's a complication...or two. She hasn't told them she's arriving with kids!

The Marriage Risk

Like his brothers, Charles O'Halloran has a distrust of marriage in general - and of anyone related to Catherine Harmon Fletcher in particular. She's the woman who tried to destroy his parents' marriage. Too bad Lanni Caldwell, the only woman he's ever really fallen for, is Catherine's granddaughter.

Easy and Enjoyable Listen

I recently read Paper Towns by John Green and read by Dan John Miller. That book was "meh" but I liked the narrator. So I looked for other books that he read/performed and found Midnight Sons, Volume 1.

This book fully entertained me while on my drive back and forth to work. Somewhat predictable at times but then again we know how the story will end up. Nonetheless, I'm a sucker for romance novels and this books dishes it right up to you.

Now I'm on to volume 2.

Alaskan romance

When 2 of the O'Halloran brother's devise a plan to bring women to the remote area of Harluck, Alaska, they have no idea how much their own lives are about to change. This Vol.1 contains the first two books in this delightful series. I have enjoyed learning more about the great white North. More than that, Macomber has created a town with a variety of interesting characters. These stories are written so that the reader feels part of this quaint town and invited into the lives of those who live there. I greatly admire authors who can create such wonderful characters. Glad there is more to read. [I listened to this on audible and am ready to begin listening to the next two books in the series].

Midnight Sons

I listen to this book every now and again and never regret it. Every time,I do forget that they use that “D” word a few times, surprising for a Christian book but clean otherwise. Very lovely story, humorous, romantic, touching, HEA! A wonder Debbie Macomber story! I wish there were more authors who wrote clean stories like these.

"Missed the Mark for me"

Ok romances but not compelling. The conflict between the characters seemed somewhat lame. The reasons for the characters who loved each other almost immediately not coming together seemed a little unrealsitic. Something not modern about the stories. Seems like a romance that might have been published thirty or forty years ago.

Good, clean fun

Fun, lighthearted, and clean. It was a perfect romance novel set to end the day and keep me company throughout the day. I would highly recommend it if you are in the mood for a beach read!

A set of very sweet romances

I read this series originally back when they first came out. I loved all her books back then and especially Alaska, so I decided to listen to them this time. They are still wonderful stories that share Alaska with others and the characters are terrific. They are very mild for today’s stories but still very entertaining. Mr Miller did a good job on narration.

Great Book

This is a good entertaining book. The narrator did a really good job keeping me lost in the story.

Stick with The Marriage Risk

The second book started out seaming like a repeat of the first and I started to get bored but I'm the type that sticks with it till the end and I'm glad I did! The last portion of The Marriage Risk surprised me and brought tears to my eyes. I loved it.
