Two classic stories of finding love where you least expect it! Marriage Wanted: As far as Nash Davenport's concerned, marriage isn't shelter from the storm - it is the storm. He's a divorce attorney, himself divorced, who believes no married couple can live up to their wedding vows. My Hero: Would-be romance writer Bailey York has already failed twice at love. She thinks men are wonderful to read and write about, but that's it. Which is probably why she has such difficulty creating a hero for her novel. What she needs is a real-life example.

An Early Debbie Macomber updated
Debbie Macomber is a favorite author of mine. That being said, she has gotten better & better through the years. I believe this edition is updated slightly with current technology (cell phones, etc).
Because of the narrator, I wasn’t sure I could last through the first hour. However, I persevered & finally was able to focus on the story and not her breathy voice & whiny character voices.
I like the second story better than the first.

Bland, superficial, predictable and rushed
This was the worst book I've read. The plot of both stories was very superficial, with the second one being only slightly better. The characters are flat and have no additional depth other than the bare minimum to move the plot along. There is no real character development - it's so unrealistic how one moment one character doesn't like the other and a moment later they have strong feelings of affection. Most of the time the story is predictable and the plot is rushed. There's no interesting setting or situations other than the character drama.
I also really dislike how the female characters are pushed around by the male characters. Some of their thoughts indicate they don't like it, but they don't really do anything about it. The romances feel very fake, without any real foundation. This is not how relationships should work.
The book had a nice title and cover, and a curious premise but unfortunately that's all there is to it.
For those of you raving about this book - if this is your bar for a good book then you'll be amazed at what better titles are out there.
