Publisher's Summary

Every Christmas, three lovable angels visit Earth. Once a year, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy are allowed to intervene (or, more accurately, interfere!) in human affairs. Despite their frequent misadventures and the chaos they often cause, things always seem to turn out right....

This Christmas, join Those Christmas Angels as they respond to Anne Fletcher's prayer request. She wants her son, Roy, to meet a special woman - and the angels contrive to throw Julie Wilcott in his path (literally!).

Watch as the heaven-sent messengers reunite a divorced couple, bring peace of mind to an elderly man and grant a little boy's fondest wish. Because there's always joy Where Angels Go.

Shirley, Goodness and Mercy offer you laughter and Christmas cheer in these two heartwarming stories!

Wholesome, Warm, Inviting

Perfect listen for the Christmas holidays . . . when folks desire peace and healing for themselves and their families. I disagree with the negative reviews posted for Angels at Christmas . . . I am not sure what people expect from a book that clearly is about faith and hope, angels and Christmas. I love how Debbie Macomber deals with the pain, hurts, and disappointments that come from living in an imperfect world, and ways that we humans must learn from our own mistakes. These stories are soul soothing and have a way of setting one's mind and heart at ease.

I loved this book!

What did you love best about Angels at Christmas?

Good storyline with realistic characters whom I could "see" from Debbie's descriptions.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a story I could relate to.

Have you listened to any of Sandra Burr’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not that I can think of.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I'm looking forward to listening to the next one.

If you like Debbie Macomber

What did you love best about Angels at Christmas?

It's light and easy to listen to while doing something else. I didn't like it as much as I do the Blossom Street books, but it was fine and did a bit to capture the season.

And of course, Sandra Burr always does an excellent job.

SLOW & TRITE

I can't even force myself to finish. I wanted a light, fluffy Christmas story to listen to while I did wrapping, baking, etc. , but this is just plain boring. I found myself thinking, "Enough already. Move on. Get to something in this story." I hope it got better, but I had to quit.

Boring

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

someone who really needs sleep

What do you think your next listen will be?

anything faster paced, like maybe a phone book.

What three words best describe Sandra Burr’s voice?

not her fault.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The story might have been better with a much more efficient editor.

Any additional comments?

I can usually get though lots of exposition but the story never seemed to be getting anywhere. I finally gave up in disgust
