Publisher's summary

The extraordinary daughter of Cleopatra and Mark Anthony seeks to reclaim her birthright in the first novel of an epic historical fiction trilogy from the New York Times best-selling author of America's First Daughter.

With both of her parents dead, Princess Selene and her two surviving brothers are left at the mercy of their captors, taken from Egypt and put on display as war trophies in Rome. Trapped in an empire that reviles her heritage and suspects her faith, Selene struggles for survival in a court of intrigue. She can't hide the hieroglyphics that carve themselves into her hands nor can she stop the emperor from using her powers for his own ends.

Faced with a new and ruthless Caesar who is obsessed with having a Cleopatra of his very own, Selene is determined to resurrect her mother's dreams and succeed where she failed. But there's no telling what success will cost her in a treacherous political game where the only rule is win or die.

Loved.

I really loved reading/learning about the children of Cleopatra. BC of this book I went and read more about them in history and what transpired after their parents death. This book gave a look into the past although fictional there is truth in the events. The characters r young, and it could be considered YA but I enjoyed it greatly and I am looking forward to continuing this series but also reading about Octavia and Julia. Thank u S.Dray for writing this story. Definitely recommend this book.

Well read audiobook. Fun historical fiction

Took me some time to get into it but good book. Great audio book performance.
I like that it provides historical context and uses true history but there is still fictional flare and a little supernatural mixed in. They do it in a way that really describes the ancient Egyptian religion which was nice. Good read before my trip to Egypt even better because it was free with prime.

Cleopatra

I was looking for a historical fiction about Queen Cleopatra...this is about her daughter so I tried it and loved it. Looking forward to the rest of the series. I wish this author would do a stand alone about her mother.

Hail the Queen

Beautifully ready by Mx. Garcia. This story is everything I was hoping it would be and more. Already purchased the second and third book. This author dove deep for this pearl. Worth every second.

how gods were put ahead of the one true G-D author and perfec

the fear of G-D is the beginning of wisdom. I see how lacking of true G-D these people were, I can't see what good can come living with out G-D, the only real relationship that one can have is with G-D, I living by word and wisdom from Yeshua, the word 💯 truly became Flash..to author thank you for the wisdom in the writing of this book ,truly I have seen how lost we are without G-D he is Arthur and perfector of our faith, BLESS BE HE,AMEN.

From point of view of Cleopatra's daughter

The research done is obvious. The author knits historical events into the story. Storyline was ok, however, the narrator was forgettable. I wouldn't go out of my way to read this again.

It was disorienting and a bit too dramatic and drawn out.

I had little expectations, but it somehow managed to actually be worse that I had hoped. The written is good but a bit mediocre in my opinion. I blame myself for having such high expectations, it was entertaining, I’ll give it that.

Enthralling story

What a great read! It’s beautifully written, interesting, and breathes life into an often forgotten historical figure.
