Collection of short stories from The House of Crimson and Clover Series

I enjoyed the author's writing style. There are five short stories from the House is Crimson & Clover series. I wish I could have listened to the series before listening to these short stories. Hopefully they will be available on audible soon.

Flourish: talks about Anne Fontaine. Her mom dies and she decides to go visit her siblings. Her brother was something else.

Surrender: a sweet story about Oz & Ana which are childhood best friends that fall in love.

Shame: Wow. This was a horrible story of love & loss. So sad... I'm sure it is a good background story to understand Jonathan St Andrews and why he is the way he is.

Fire and Ice: Story with the twins Fleur & Remy. They are quite the trouble makers. One yields fire and the other ice. They are at a masquerade ball being very mischievous! Anne sets Remy straight!

Dark Blessing: Kelly is one of triplets and he has long believed in vampires. He meets Edith and together they try to solve this puzzle.

This short set books seems to bring insight to some of the characters from the Series.

The narrator did a pretty good job in bringing the story to life. The stories were written in multiple POV. I'm looking forward to listening/reading more books from this Author.

This audiobook was provided free of charge in exchange for my honest unbiased opinion.

Wonderful Writing and Excellent Narration

Would you try another book from Sarah M. Cradit and/or LC Kane?

Yes to both! It was fairly enjoyable. I was unaware that the book was a collection of shorts. I wish I could have listened to the whole stories,

What could Sarah M. Cradit have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Nothing. I was good I just felt a little left short due to not getting to follow each story through the normal progression.

Which character – as performed by LC Kane – was your favorite?

Nicholas, I like the smart ass bad boys!

Could you see Lagniappes Collection 1 being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Maybe a teen movie full of shorts but or a miniseries but not a full blown movie.

Grabbed your attention right away

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would reccommend this book, but I feel I missed a lot by not reading the full story's. I didn't have the background that would have made more sense to me.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jon and Carla. There was such desperation about them. It was sad.

Going back to read ALL the books!

I received this book for free by the author/narrator for an honest and unbiased review.

These were great stand alone novellas, it gave me a taste into the world of the rest of the books. I am most definitely going to read the rest of the series. I am a paranormal book lover and this is right up my alley!! I am just hoping that all the books in the series come to audible. The narrator did a great job. Yes this is worth a credit!

Happy Reading/Listening!!!

Awesome series!

I am so in love with this series! I enjoyed everyone of these short back stories. I really didn't want to like Jon but I felt so sorry for him and now I can't help but at least have some understanding of why he is the way he is. Ann's book had me right from the beginning at that sets the tone for the rest of them. I haven't finished the whole series and now I. Anxious to read the rest of them. You will enjoy this and the rest of the series as well

Start of A Series

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

That being said, I was a lukewarm to the story. I am guessing this is part of a series, but I just could not get into it. These were short stories meant to introduce the characters for later books. Even given that fact, none of the characters grabbed me enough to want to know more about them.

LC Kane did a fine job with the narration. There were about four places in one chapter where phrases were repeated, I don't know if they were meant to be edited out or were just mistakes.

Anyway, it's worth a listen if you like this type of story (which I usually do, that is why I asked for a copy) to decide for yourself!
