Publisher's Summary

An emotional, heartwarming story from New York Times best-selling author Elin Hilderbrand about a grieving family that finds solace where they least expect it.

Celebrity chef Deacon Thorpe has always been a force of nature with an insatiable appetite for life. But after that appetite contributes to Deacon's shocking death in his favorite place on earth, a ramshackle Nantucket summer cottage, his (messy, complicated) family is reeling. Now Deacon's three wives, his children, and his best friend gather on the island he loved to say farewell.

The three very different women have long been bitter rivals, each wanting to claim the primary place in Deacon's life and his heart. But as they slowly let go of the resentments they've held on to for years and remember the good times, secrets are revealed, confidences are shared, and improbable bonds are formed as this unlikely family says good-bye to the man who brought them all together, for better or worse - and the women he loved find new ways to love again.

Loved it❣

This was an amazing book! Laurel, Belinda and Scarlett, all wives of chef Deacon Thorp shared one man but each led a different life with him. Each character in this story is served up like a multi course meal for us. I loved this book and really enjoyed the narration as well! Elin you keep me entertained❣

Another good one from EH!

Where does Here's to Us rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I always love to listen to Elin Hilderbrand's books. This one grabbed my attention as soon as it started and held it the whole book. I'd say this is in my top 10 and I usually go through 2 books a week.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the differences between the three women (wives) and how they interacted with each other.

What does Erin Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings emotion and each character has their own unique voice.

If you could take any character from Here's to Us out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Probably Belinda. She just seemed like fun.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book!

Sweet

A nice story that feels good even tho it centres around a death. Very descriptive characters that are believable and relatable. I enjoyed the side stories of each individual relationship and the narrator did an excellent job.

Comes full circle

This was one of those books I downloaded and tried multiple times to get into although I failed miserably. I finally decided to start the entire book over and so glad ij did, what a wonderfully heartwarming story. It's a tale of family, the trials and tribulations, the joys, but always about the love.

Great Story from Hilderbrand

Great character development as usual from Hilderband. Interesting story. Took me out of my element a bit with the characteristics of Deacon, which I loved.
