Very Entertaining!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yep....I practically devoured it! It was good from the start, I loved it....Sookie really shows how brave she is once again!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sookie of course....lol but Eric is a close 2nd and Alcide was really great too....

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the ending...Sookie is one bad ass bitch!!! lol I don't want to give too much away, but her with a shot gun...is PRICELESS!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When she finds Bill and she says she can see it in his eyes how relieved he was....but I knew bad stuff was coming...lol

Any additional comments?

I just don't know how Sookie does it, she lives her life in a constant state of fright....she is one of the greatest heroines of the decade....and I am already on my way in book 4....lol

Excellent Series

I like the True Blood series, but her books are very good, and Charlane Harris has a great dark sense of humor, like with the vampire Bubba.

All stories are told from Sookie Stackhouse's point of view, and she is sometimes uninformed about the intricancies of the different relationships...nor does she want to be informed all the time...and she sometimes gets annoyed with it all. I find it a very humorous contrast of the HBO series. Good stories, good narration.

Essential book for the Eric Northman fans

If you love Eric, you'll love this book. As a Eric fan, this was my favorite out of all of the Sookie Stackhouase books. It was so fun to listen to this book. Johanna Parker is a fantastic narrator, and does a perfect Sookie.....(at least in the 1st 4 books, I was disappointed with the 5th) Having read all the books, I was not sorry about purchaching the audiable versions. They are a blast listening to. I highly recommend listening to the audio books, if you are a Sookie Stackhouse fan.

Great Book! Too Short!

As usual, this Sookie Stackhouse series book does not disappoint. The narration is spot on, in fact, she is one of the best narrators I've ever heard. Couple talent with a good plot and you've got a great story. Don't want to say too much and spoil the experience...it is worth the read. Wish it was longer for the credit!!! In fact, I gave it only 4 stars because.....it really should be lengthier!

More wonderful fun!

The 3rd book of the series and I am SO enjoying this lively, charming and delightful journey through the world that Ms. Harris has created.

Once again, Johanna Parker is the perfect narrator and the humor, the sexiness and even the violence come alive (so to speak) with her voice.

I am loving all the characters, including Bubba. Please don't call him by his real name.

Loved it!

After reading the Twilight series, I have gone through many books trying to find something I liked as well. I started watching True Blood, not knowing that it was based on a book. The first book in the series was very much like the show, but the 2nd and 3rd take a different turn. I am so hooked on these books now. I am glad there are 9 books in this series, so far, because I am loving these books and can't wait to get to the 4th one!

Love the flow

I simply love the flow that Charlaine Harris gives her novels, it makes it so easy and enjoyable.

And the narrator captures that easy flow to the T.

Overall if you love the first couple of novels, this is a must.

A Story with EVERYTHING!

Sookie Stackhouse Series is a MUST read! I have listened/read all of the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries, 1 - 8. I enjoyed every single one of them. The writing is good, clear, suspenseful and humorous. The narrator, Johanna Parker, does some of the best narrating I have heard...exactly the way I would presume Sookie Stackhouse would sound. You can't go wrong with this series. I CAN'T WAIT until installment NINE!!

once you're in, you gotta keep swimming.....

if you're reading this, you've probably started to read this series of books. Now I haven't watched the HBO show, so I'm going on book alone when I review...here goes: There is just too much wishing for sex in this book. I don't know a woman out there who thinks about sex as much as Sookie does in this book....and it seems to be getting worse! I hope this isn't a trend for the rest of the books, because it made this book just barely tolerable. Still, the reader being quite good, and I did get some good laughs out if it. And yes, I will probably order the next in the series, as heck, I'm already in...... (entertainment, not literary genius)

Sookie

Although I love the story and I can't wait to go to the next book (without giving away the story) I'm not thrilled the direction this book is going with the two main characters from the 1st and 2nd books. But, I'm still hooked and I will continue to be a devoted listener.
