Action adventure

I enjoyed the story. Fast paced, action adventure. But is was to rushed. More detail and description would make it better for me.
The narrator was good.

I like.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
This book was great. Coming from someone who grew up in a generation of people wanting to be Indiana Jones, this hero has chops. It's an intelligent crew that will deal in violence, but would just as soon hang out in peace an use their minds to solve problems. Not too much machismo, not too lovey dovey. A good adventure story.

Wow!!!

David Wood is a new author to, while Jeffrey Kafer is one of my favorite narrators. I absolutely loved this story with all of the action. Scenes of this book reminded me of some movies that I have loved. The author did a great job with the visualization and descriptions. The narrator did a fantastic job conveying suspense, awe, and tension. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. This story is a standalone listen. I will look for more books by this author and narrator. I was voluntarily provided with this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, narrator, and/or publisher.

You certainly will not fall asleep on THIS one!

Bought this on the cheap from Audible, and did I ever get a deal!

The story: Dane, Bones, and the rest of their crew are treasure hunters. They decide to try their hand in digging or whatever it takes to get to the pirate treasure on the island off the Eastern coast of Canada which has thwarted many and cost both money and lives in others attempts. Will try to avoid spoilers, but here we have a fine interweaving of actual places and real history with several known and intriguing legends. Throw in plot twists, two different sets of evil bad guys, kidnappings, action and adventure, and lots of wiseassery and badassery, and you have this really great read!

Kafer does a great job with this one. Character interpretations and differentiations are clear and very well done, and the narrative parts are clearly presented. He is engaged with his narration and it clearly shows!

Dane and Bones are at it Again

David Wood has again given is a fast-paced trip with all the right elements to keep it interesting. Pirate Treasure, Coded Maps, Secret Societies, and new twist to the crew. There is always excitement and some levity and they travel to throughout the Americas and the United Kingdom in search of and aided by the relics of King Arthur. Battling not only the elements and the challenges of Treasure Hunting but a modern-day foe looking for the Relics to support their own Secret Society. This is a very entertaining audiobook but sometimes the twist and turns happen so fast that you are trying to turn back a page to keep up.
This was the second Dane Maddock Adventure I have read and it is the best.

Always enjoyable...

The duo of Kafer & Wood are well established. I have not listened to all the series but Wood does good keeping it fresh while not losing the books personality.
Kafer does well performing. If you like a fun, mystery and adventure book that will not weigh you down, then listen to this one.

Quest for King Arthur

*This audiobook was provided by author, narrator or publisher in exchange for honest, unbiased review via Audioboom

This story follows a massive treasure hunt by Dane and Bones. It's full of intrigue, danger, suspense and uncertainty. It's well written and full of many descriptive images.

Jeffrey has great diction. He's clear and articulate. On occasion, I found myself confused on which character was talking in the story.
