Publisher's summary

The countdown timer continues to tick, but Earth is still not ready to repel an invasion from space.

Gnat is on his voyage with the Shiamiru, all the while trying to find backup for humanity among the great spacefaring races. After all, based on what he's already seen, he knows not to count on the good sense of his own kind. Even facing an external threat, the people of our Earth cannot see past their internal squabbles and come together to fight as one.

Gnat does not expect gratitude from his leaders for taking such matters into his own hands, but when have laws and rules ever stopped our intrepid hero before?

Loved it

The only thing that got to me was when Rudy did centaur voices and would have them neigh like a horse. So annoying lol

The voices

The harsh voices the narrator uses got on my nerves pretty quickly. The centaurs where the worst.

This is for reality benders book 1-4

It’s a good series so far that keeps the same narrator throughout and he does great voice acting and has no issues coming up with voices for the many various characters. Only complaint for narration is in book 4 he changes the voice he uses for a semi main character drastically and horribly a chipmunk would sound better.
The story is good first couple books are better, 3-4 start getting a little more unusual, they start repeating his stats more frequently to fill room in the books, and by book 4 I’m starting to question how much longer the book will continue as the main plot seems to be less and less important and more meandering, but this is a great book series overall that I have loved and will continue to listen to.

good audiobook

Good translation. Good narration. Only remark is that the female voices could use some more softening. If you liked the first you will like this one.

Love the series hate the narrator

Again the author nails it in this continuation of countdown. I am totally invested in the story but beg the people in charge to hand the narrator role off to someone else. This guy has like four voices for all the characters. No accents and half the characters sound like they are talking through a voice box I mean come on. Stop giving this guy five stars people what are your standards? Luke Daniels and Nick Podel are two of my favorites I can think of. Listen to them and then listen to this. There is no contest.
