Story
Ceasefires have one big downside: They eventually come to an end. And when they do, once again game nodes are set ablaze, and platoons of Dark Faction soldiers threaten our customary world with destruction. The enemy has grown stronger and more numerous. To make matters worse, they also got their hands on even deadlier weaponry. They have learned painful lessons from previous encounters and adjusted their tactics accordingly.

To be on a starship that's just sustained serious damage in a space battle and lost its thrusters and to find yourself in a totally different galaxy.... Gnat maintains optimism, gradually gets his space frigate back in working order, and even finds upsides to what happened.

After all, based on what he's already seen, he knows not to count on the good sense of his own kind. Even facing an external threat, the people of our Earth cannot see past their internal squabbles and come together to fight as one. Story
At long last, an extraterrestrial civilization reached out and made the First Contact. However, no one on Earth took their communique for the genuine article. In a similar vein, very few people appreciated just how little time our new suzerains had promised to keep our planet safe. Regardless, the end of their message showed humankind how to access a mysterious game. The objective of this game is unclear. No one can say where its servers are located, and its inner workings are beyond comprehension.

The pirates, the Uldans, the Zatrathi - none of it mattered now. The final goal was so close. All they had to do was reach out and grasp it. Alas, fortune refuses to land in Surgeon's hand just like that, without a fight. Fortune only comes to those who can prove themselves. Will Alexis and Eunice find their inner strength and go to the end - or will the obstacles in their way force them to give up their search?

After battling the hyenas, Eric gets a notification that something called a Place of Power has been found. That is the only clue that might help him get back to his native world. But there's a problem. The system needs mana to calculate a route. Eric simply doesn't have any, and he doesn't know when he will. That is because, due to the strange laws this world lives by, Eric's mana supply isn't filling up. But the Great System also exists here, though its laws are only partially functioning.

The Empire is splitting at the seams. The Great Houses refuse to obey the Throne World and have begun to conduct increasingly independent politics. Sensing the weakness of the central government, even the most loyal star systems of the Imperial Core are refusing to take orders from above. Is this just a string of coincidences, or a coordinated campaign? Can a disjointed humanity rally around a strong leader to deflect an alien invasion? Who of the many figures in intergalactic politics can rise to this challenge?

Story
These were dark times for Tailyn Vlashich, the 12-year-old alchemist. He'd been banished from the empire. The academy had summarily dismissed him. A deadly killer had been dispatched to hunt him. He'd been dropped all the way down to level one. But while there weren't many adults who would have been able to cope with the litany of problems Tailyn was facing, they weren't him. And he had help - two mentors, his girl, and a friend.

Review
- By Ryan on 02-22-21
By: Vasily Mahanenko, and others
Publisher's Summary
We put an end to the war with the Dark Faction, but still humanity's problems are far from over. More than half of the game's promised tong of safety has elapsed, and yet humankind is no closer to forming a unified front. We've just begun building one of the 12 planetary shield generators necessary to give Earth complete protection, but we don't have enough construction materials, players, or time. Should we ask the parallel magocratic world for help? After all, an invasion from outer space would hurt them just as bad. The mages, though, have plenty of problems of their own.
What options does Gnat even have here? All he can truly count on are his own strength and his personal Relict faction. Should we put all our eggs in one basket and look for help in deep space? Might technology from ancient, long-vanished races allow humanity to grow strong enough to turn back the onslaught before it's too late?

Finally they changed the narrator!
Thank you so much for swaping out that terrible narrator for this much better one. I would say that the reason this book isn't up with The Land and other great LITRPG books was the narrator. I mean this is a very uniue series. This is one of the few that are a space/fantasy LITRPG. I for one think that this series so far has proven that it is the best sci fi based LITRPG series so far. Keep up the good work and I am super excited to see what happens to Nat next.

My favorite audio book series.
I have purchased over 150 sci fi titles and this is my favorite series. Very creative, and the plot flows very well. No wasted sections, every word of this book advances the plot, or gives the reader information.

Great but too short
I absolutely love these books and think this is one of the best series in my collection, but I am frustrated at all the cliffhangers. Every book pretty much ends on a cliffhanger except for one and I just feel like it’s a little tacky at this point. We are on book 5 my dude we are clearly invested in the series and the cliffhanger feels absolutely unnecessary in terms of retaining reader engagement.
I originally wanted to give an overall of four stars because of how long it takes to get another relatively short installment in this series but that logic is flawed because the only reason that would bother me is because the book is excellent.
Overall a great read and great series I just wish these books were a little bit longer or had a little bit more of the overarching story after waiting.
